Stray Cat Issue02 Sep 2003 03:52 GMT4
Hi.  I am about to get "involved" with a very scruffy looking stray in my
apartment complex.  Already have two pets.  This guy looks a little under 1
year old.  He is super skinny and flea-ridden.  The things is... I fear he
has sarcoptic mange.  I'm trying to determine whether the ...
Stimulating milk flow in mother cat02 Sep 2003 03:43 GMT1
My next-door neighbor came over last night with this question, and it
is one I could not answer.  Our (irresponsible) neighbors across the
street have a cat who just had kittens.  Eric (my neighbor who does
cat rescue) found out and at least helped the mom cat and three
Stray cat; behavior changes02 Sep 2003 03:41 GMT2
Back in May I trapped and had neutered, shots, etc several strays.
One of them I kept (Bonnie) several of them are still eating here
(attracting possums now, too dammit).  A black and white longish
haired boy has changed in the last couple of days.  He used to be very

Three abandoned  kittens in my backyard around one of my
storehouses---they look to be about two weeks old (?).
I started hand feeding them the other day using PetAg KMR milk in a
nursing bottle with a queen's nipple; also, I feed them a little beef
How hard is it to give subQ fluids?01 Sep 2003 17:16 GMT2
I got a call from my vet tonight (yes Sun.) and the bloodwork from our Fri.
visit does not look good. He says she has advanced kidney failure. However,
the good news from my point of view is that she seem to respond very well to
sub-cutaneous fluids he gave her on Fri.  We agreed on ...
Cat food questions01 Sep 2003 17:07 GMT2
Hi, I've been reading with interest the threads about cat food. I live in
the UK and I'm finding it hard to find premium canned food. There is Denes
but Murphy doesn't like it. I haven't found anywhere else that sells Hills
so haven't tried that. I've tried him on Nutro kitten ...
Stray to indoor cat01 Sep 2003 17:05 GMT1
I have been feeding a small group of strays for some time now (don't ask how
I started!).  Group is down to 2 now after the oldest (3-4 years) had to be
euthanized because of large, inoperable malignant abdominal tumor.  The 2
guys left have both been neutered & come when I pull up ...
Royal Canin?01 Sep 2003 15:31 GMT5
Is Royal Canin widely accepted as a high quality, premium cat food? If it
matters, I am referring specifically to the Sensible Choice Chicken Meal & Rice
Formula (adult).
Thanks in advance!
Cat Vomiting Undigested Dry Food01 Sep 2003 02:36 GMT3
My senior cat has started vomiting undigested/unchewed dry food. It happens on
a daily basis. For one week, I only fed him canned food and he did not vomit.
But with 3 other cats, it is a problem not to have any dry food available when
I am at work. He seems to feel fine. He keeps ...
