| Combining Hill's c/d-s and Uroeze (Ammonium Chloride) | 07 Sep 2003 04:30 GMT | 5 |
I have a question regarding my cat with FLUTD. My cat had two episodes of being blocked so the doctor recommended him eating a prescription food, Hill's c/d-s. The cat would not eat it at all, neither canned nor dry, so instead the doctor recommended that we put

| Kitty with swollen leg after subQ fluids - is that normal? | 07 Sep 2003 03:03 GMT | 3 |
I've been having trouble giving my cat subQ fluids and managed to do my first real dose today. I gave her 200 ml instead of 100, because that is what the vet did and because we had skipped days. (I was supposed to do 100 ml/day starting Wed. but had been unable to come up with a ...

| "Spayed" cat in heat | 06 Sep 2003 17:37 GMT | 6 |
I have a 10 year old supposedly spayed cat that I adopted from a shelter 6 months ago. I say "supposedly" spayed because she is definitely showing signs of being in heat. The shelter has only the prior owner's word that she was spayed, but I find it hard to believe some one would ...

| Anyone knowledgable about probiotics? | 05 Sep 2003 21:48 GMT | 4 |
There is a human version, Primadophilus Jr, which was recommended and I think it looks good. I'd like some other opinions if there are any. I got to rethinking this after the post about yogurt. The problem with most probiotics is that they are broken down by stomach acids and

| Chase lets her eat first...why? | 05 Sep 2003 08:54 GMT | 1 |
OK, this behavior is almost a year in the making... When I got Paintball, I got a second food and water dish to avoid "territorial disputes". Paintball, however, wandered her 10-week-old self over to 'Chase's' food bowl and started to eat out of that. He sat down and watched her ...

And the winner is PHOENIX. Thanks for all the suggestions. He is doing just great. Tearing up the house and chasing all the other cats driving them nuts. Still sneezes a lot though. I have a followup vet appt for the 29th of this month. I'll watch and see what happens in the mean ...

| New to kitten fostering | 04 Sep 2003 19:18 GMT | 4 |
I'm new on rpch+b but I'm an old timer on the dog newsgroups. I'm married, have a 5 year old son, two collies and I've volunteered to foster orphan kittens for our local SPCA. Last week, the volunteer did the home visit and spent an hour going over the fostering program.
