Some of you may remember I copied a story about a kitten rescued from
drainpipe from another newsgroup and posted it here about a month ago. It was
written by a TV/Book writer/producer. Several people here seemed to like it.
Here is a URL with some pictures, an update, and the ...

kitten does not clean self04 Aug 2003 20:39 GMT4
We have a kitten, about 4-5 months old, who is perfect in every way,
except that he does not clean himself very well, and reeks of urine
almost all the time. He is a white cat. His fur is more like rabbit
fur than cat fur, very silky and medium long.
Why is the cat doing this?04 Aug 2003 12:28 GMT7
While we were away on a trip for a week, one of my girlfriend's two
male cats began defecating on the tile floor in the foyer by the door.
Now that she is back, he still sometimes does it, despite his litter
box being clean.  We spray the area with a cat deterrent but that

How Often to Vaccinate?04 Aug 2003 08:09 GMT3
I have read that it is not good to give yearly vaccinations on cats that don't
go outside. I have two one year old kittens who have had all of their kitten
shots and don't go outside. I have an elderly indoor cat and a senior
indoor/outdoor cat that rarely leaves the yard.  I just ...
Cats versus types of flooring04 Aug 2003 07:59 GMT10
Does anyone have experience with imitation wood flooring (like Pergo) and
cats?  I'm really tired of this old carpet that traps litter, dirt, dust,
and hair and am wondering if the immitation wood flooring works OK.
Specifically, is it scratch resistant?  Also, what happens if a cat ...

Hi,  Three (3) weeks ago I lost my cat to Feline Leukemia after having
the virust for 3 years. It was real ruff on me. Can anyone tell me is

tail quivering04 Aug 2003 02:13 GMT6
My cat has an interesting tail quiver.  It is not the usual twitch or tail
slap on the floor.  She actually makes it quiver very rapidly while it is
raised straight in the air.  I have never noticed any of my other cats
exhibiting this behavior.  Anyone familiar with this behavior ...

Feline Medicine's Dirty Little Secret02 Aug 2003 02:58 GMT2
Cats are needlessly dying from carcinogenic additives in vaccines, yet
safer brands are available. Which brand is your vet using?

sick old cat02 Aug 2003 02:05 GMT23
I have a seventeen year old cat who has been fine until the last few
days. She has gone off her food, seems weak and feeble, and rather
emaciated (although she has been getting scrawnier for a while now --
we just put it down to old age). She just likes to sleep in the Sun in
