Vocalization19 Aug 2003 01:40 GMT3
When Hodge is confronted with the laser pointer or (as I discovered
today), soap bubbles (bubble toy), he opens his mouth wide and basically
says, "Eh eh eh eh eh" in short bursts, a little like a duck quacking. I
can't tell if he's upset or just excited. Any thoughts?

Help!  Cat urinated on our wedding gift - A crocheted afghan18 Aug 2003 19:53 GMT10
I received a beautiful crocheted afghan and when I was opening the
box,  I then smelled cat urine.  It must have somehow happened right
before it was packaged and sent to me.. I of course didn't tell them
that this had happened.
Tons of sneezing18 Aug 2003 18:47 GMT2
I have a cat, Lia, who was in the 'hospital' for several days during the
first week I had her.  That was a predictor of our life together.  Every
time I go to the vet with her, she ends up on antibiotics, going thru a lot
of tests, etc.  Keep that in mind ...

My parents have two cats, brother and sister, which they got when they
were six months old (the cats, that is, not my parents! :-)  Jake is
a big, heavy (although not fat!) black cat, his sister Chloe is much
smaller and not so independent.
Rough Vet Visit, Aloof Cat18 Aug 2003 06:16 GMT5
I took my three cats to the vet last week and the vet who usually sees
our animals had left the practice so I was assigned a new vet.  She
was young and could even have been a resident in training.  I had posted
earlier how she decided to inject all three cats to kill roundworms
Cat is biting17 Aug 2003 20:32 GMT2
We took in this stray cat several months ago because she was so
friendly and sweet.  I've had her spayed, shot, built her a house on
the deck, bought her toys, and she gets lots of love and attention.
Over the past week or so, she's started biting.

litter box for over 6 weeks now and poops on  the floor.  He will "pee" in
Jade's Birthday17 Aug 2003 10:13 GMT4
Today is Jade's birthday. I made it the day that I officially adopted her
instead of the day I rescued her. She got a couple of catnip toys and of
course a nice Friskies and tuna cake which she shared with Isis.
non-kitten sucking behavior16 Aug 2003 21:28 GMT5
Carey, 10 yo tortie, has a probable brain tumor (everything else ruled out and
decision was made to treat this assumption),  her meds seem to help her
behavior MOST days, although not completely.  Her physical self is stabilized
by them though.
Black spot on eye16 Aug 2003 17:26 GMT1
We have a Persian of unknown age who has developed a dark spot on his
right eye, not opaque, slightly off-center and perhaps a quarter inch
in diameter.  A week or so ago, he kept this eye closed for a few
days.  There was no such darkening before then.  We will take him to
