| Odd behavioral change in my cat last night | 22 Aug 2003 03:00 GMT | 4 |
Hey all, I was just wondering if I should be concerned. Lynxie is normally NOT a lap cat, and will only sit in my lap for maybe a couple minutes at most before running off and doing his own thing.

| Just read about what is really in cat food | 22 Aug 2003 00:53 GMT | 12 |
I just read a book called "Food Pets Die For" and it is horrifying!!! This woman did an extensive study about the ingredients which go into cat and dog food. Almost all of the major brands include euthanized cats and dogs in their formula, as well as all of the spoiled and

| Cat Being Sick | 22 Aug 2003 00:11 GMT | 5 |
My cat doesn't want to eat and keeps being sick, but it seemed to only be saliva until tonight, when it looked like there was some fur in it. She's lost a lot of weight as well...we moved her food outside recently due to our toddler trying to eat it...could it be a

| At wits end: Old cat, cat box | 22 Aug 2003 00:08 GMT | 9 |
21 years ago in August, I got a little baby kitten. She's always been a very good cat. Once, when she was just a few years old, I went away for the weekend but forgot to leave the door to the deck (where her catbox was) open. She was such a good cat that the only place she "went" ...

Any advice on helping my kitty with her teething issues?? I know she loves to chew on anything, and she's been biting a lot recently. A friend of mine said she used Pounce treats with her cat when she was teething and that worked really well. Anyone use them before? I've

| New Kitten | 21 Aug 2003 03:29 GMT | 2 |
I am planning to adopt a new kitten in early November. My one concern is that during X'mas I will be heading off for 2 weeks on a holiday. This has already been scheduled and cannot be rebooked. At this point I would only have had the kitten for one and a half months. Is this ...

| Rescued mama cat -- kittens? (sorry, trouble crossposting) | 21 Aug 2003 03:18 GMT | 7 |
A neighbor of mine got evicted today. Another neighbor and friend, who is a vet assistant, spoke to her and asked about her cat. The woman's reply consisted of "I'm homeless today. I don't know." Essentially, she dumped the cat. She also told my friend that her cat

| Protein | 21 Aug 2003 00:54 GMT | 1 |
Okay, I'm REALLY confused now. I've been reading the articles about nutrition that have been cited in this newsgroup, and some of them say that lots of protein (especially meat-based protein) is good for cats. But the Natura Pet Foods web site declares that one of the good ...

| Query: Fleas and Cat Behavior | 20 Aug 2003 15:40 GMT | 4 |
Yesterday was Fleaday. We bathed our three cats and dusted/bombed the place. It was approximately a 12-hour process. I noted that one of the cats had considerably more fleas than the other

| about a mouse and a parasite, warning--gross! | 20 Aug 2003 14:32 GMT | 3 |
My sweet kitty dumped a mouse on my porch that I think was already dead, because it was stiff. I think what killed it is a worm type thing that was emerging from it's belly as I picked it up. This wasn't a maggot that attacked after death, it

| Best way to ship cats? | 20 Aug 2003 08:13 GMT | 10 |
We are moving from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale and have 5 cats to move with us. I hate to subject them to a long car ride where they will be in carriers all day for several days. Here are the options I have considered:

| Pickles pulls in her claws! | 20 Aug 2003 02:40 GMT | 1 |
You may have read my post in May when I wrote that my 8 week old kitten was sometimes all teeth and nails. Now she is about 5 months old and when she plays with me there is much less biting and those paws are usually just soft pads.

| Tube feeding for liver disease?? | 20 Aug 2003 00:25 GMT | 5 |
We have a "rescued" cat, Katie, who became nauseated and was retching, and not eating. She is overweight. Our vet did blood work, and then an abdominal sonar and fine needle liver aspiration biopsy, and tells us that Katie has hepatic lipidosis, and cholangiohepatitis, and ...
