Odd Symptoms26 Aug 2003 03:21 GMT3
My 10 year old siamese has been acting a bit oddly for a few days.  He seems
more lethargic and he doesn't like being touched down lower on his back,
like near the tail.  He used to loved to be petted on the back.  But he
snaps his head around, as if it hurts him and he might bite.
cat with eye problems25 Aug 2003 22:59 GMT4
We live in a small dwelling in a rural area of BC and have 4 healthy
cats that love to spend time in our large fenced yard. We also get cat
visitors, many of which are friendly and get along with our cats.
We've had a very friendly male hanging around over a year who loves
Is litterbox use instinctive or taught25 Aug 2003 22:35 GMT4
Help settle an argument:  is litterbox use instinctive (kitties prefer to
poop in sandy box or where other poopy smells exist) or taught (by
mom-kitty or humans)?
Question about kitten behavior25 Aug 2003 18:38 GMT5
About 6 weeks ago we got a 15 week old kitten, Roxie, to add to our family,
which includes a 7 year old cat, Trixie, and a 6 year old dog, Dawson.
Roxie fit in great and rapidly became friends with our dog, although she has
a strained relationship with our cat as we expected.  Both ...
Tapozole dose increase?25 Aug 2003 17:47 GMT4
Last summer my 13 year old cat, Sparky, began taking tapozole for
hyperthyroidism. Until a couple weeks ago he was doing fine. He had even
gained a pound or two,
Now he seems to be losing weight again. Appetite is about the same.
$200 dental cleaning?25 Aug 2003 16:49 GMT12
So I took my cat for a regular check up today, and the vet showed me
that his gums are kind of red--and suggested a $200 dental cleaning!
That seems to be quite much. Is this a normal price? Should I get a
second opinion?
ProPlan vs Nutro25 Aug 2003 14:22 GMT16
The recent nutrition conversation has gotten me thinking...
(I know, that's dangerous, but bear with me)
My cats won't touch any of the really good foods, like Wellness, Innova,
etc. They despise Science Diet.
question on heart murmurs in kittens25 Aug 2003 07:54 GMT4
Yesterday my parents took my two 12-14 week old kittens to the vet.
Everything was fine with the female domestic but my purebred hym male kitten
had ditry ears which my parents got cleaner for.  Also the vet listened to
his heart and said that he had a slight heart murmur and he may ...

Vaccinations The great Debate24 Aug 2003 13:21 GMT11
The breeder I got my kitten from had used  Nosode on the kittens, yesterday
Moshi had his 1st injection at 18 weeks he is an indoor only kitten, weighs
5.12. we left it longer under my vets advice as he had been unwell 3 times,

Jack update23 Aug 2003 21:17 GMT6
Megan sent me a post where someone asked how Jack was doing, and I was
responding when our power went out (not related to the BIG ONE, just
our local ancient transformers). Now I'm back to retry and can't find
the thread.
Abandoned Kitten Needs A Name23 Aug 2003 18:51 GMT17
Just got a new kitten last wednesday. A friend came over with him and said his
friend found him abandoned along with 2 of his littermates which were dead.
Initially I said I did not want the cat as I have four others so he said they
were
Peeing - perhaps not the run-of-the-mill reasons23 Aug 2003 15:32 GMT8
My cats are 7 years old and have been 100% indoor cats all their lives.
The female, Imp, has a history of urinary tract infections that have
caused her to pee on my bed and futon. The male, Tiger, has never had
this problem.
The Nutrition Thing.23 Aug 2003 12:42 GMT1
Alright. I admit it. I don't know much of anything about feline nutrition.
I never knew that canned food was better than the dry.
And I was happy that my cats (and all of my fosters) love the Nutro Max, but
now I'm reading from a lot of poster here that it's not as good as it used
i was wondering how good authority was22 Aug 2003 16:30 GMT2
I currently have 3 cats, 1 elder cat and 2 kittens, right now they are on
authority and I have to buy some more tomorrow and i was wondering if it was
one of the better foods.  I work at a large chain pet store and would like
to stick with the brands they sell which you may know are ...
