Lost my first cat.14 Jul 2003 01:22 GMT3
I came home from my walk the other night to find a car parked in front
of my driveway.  There was a woman standing in front of it looking at
something on the road.  It was a dead cat.  The woman had obviously
seen it in the road and stopped, not knowing what to do.

I knead you...13 Jul 2003 16:35 GMT10
Starting this part Monday morning, out of nowhere, both of my cats started
kneading me.  When Jack wakes me up in the morning, he'll climb on any even
remotely horizontal surface I present.  He'll knead my arms, shoulders,
legs, et cetera.  He gives a pretty good massage!  Rizzo, ...
teething?13 Jul 2003 05:56 GMT1
my new kitten owner question of the day...
let me just say that i've had kittens before - but they were always farm
raised, outdoor only cats. so we didn't really pay that much attention to
them.
kitty conjunctivitis?13 Jul 2003 02:12 GMT1
My cat had a runny eye for about three days. Is that conjunctivitis?
Last night, it seemed to have stopped, and this morning, her eye is dry.
Any reason to worry?
Thanks.
Arthritis in cats?12 Jul 2003 23:27 GMT6
A few days ago our 14 yr old cat suddenly exhibited signs of suffering
extreme pain (hissing, growling, touch sensitivity, etc.) We took her to the
vets - they couldn't find anything specific wrong with her. We feel she may
be suffering from an arthritic condition. Is this common in ...
Adopted stray cat problems (continued)12 Jul 2003 16:27 GMT6
This is an update on the stray cat saga told here over a month ago.
I've been living with three cats who are free to go in and out of the
house at will, for nearly three years now.  The older two were once
confined, but the youngest one, nearly age two, has never been
what is hairball remedy REALLY supposed to do?12 Jul 2003 15:51 GMT1
I was under the impression that hairball remedy (whether it be a paste
the cat licks off your finger, or a crunchy treat that hides a gooey,
hairball remedy center) was supposed to help prevent the cat from
barfing up hairballs. I thought it was supposed to ease the passage of
Mouth-to-mouth saves cat's life12 Jul 2003 15:49 GMT4
COLE HARBOR, Nova Scotia, July 11 (UPI) -- A 13-year-old Nova Scotia boy
defied bullies and saved a cat's life with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Sam Bernard told the Globe and Mail Friday he heard the cat's cries and
found it hanging by a rope from a tree. Two other teens were ...
"leaking" from back end11 Jul 2003 16:15 GMT2
14 yr old female has started to "leak" a little diareha occasionally.
What are some common causes? Is there something I should stop feeding
her? She gets canned fish, chicken and turkey mostly.

declawed and non-declawed?11 Jul 2003 13:53 GMT8
I have a friend who is about to adopt a kitten I've been fostering,
but I've made one of my conditions that she agree NOT to get the
kitten declawed.  Her current cat is declawed (not by her) and she's
worried about there being a defensive disparity between the two.
looking for a new litter11 Jul 2003 04:26 GMT16
I've been using World's Best Catter Litter for several years.  The litter
works great, but I've finally become fed up with the tracking & the dust.  I
have two cats, one male and one female.  I have a one bedroom apartment, and
every room has litter in it.  The jump out of the box ...
Allerpet11 Jul 2003 03:17 GMT2
Anybody have any experience using Allerpet on their feline master?
Some have suggested using Acepromazine when speaking of allergens from cats,
but according to the Allerpet web site, "use of Acepromatizin is an 'old
wives' tale." Needless to say, they tout their product Allerpet ...
Do you show your longhaired cat?11 Jul 2003 01:32 GMT1
My cat Webster is a semi longhaired cat who sheds like mad and I find it very
hard to keep him well groomed. The more I brush him, the more loose fur gathers
on his coat and eventually falls on the hardwood floors or elsewhere.
If anyone shows long haired cats, do you have any ...
Drinking from toilet10 Jul 2003 06:21 GMT10
Why does Pericles want to drink from the toilet?
He gets fresh water in his bowl every morning; sometimes twice a day.
He does have some weird drinking habits.  In the morning when
he's let out, he licks dew off the grass.  It's rather cute to see.
