another question-this time about getting a dog25 Jul 2003 23:11 GMT21
My husband and I are getting a little aby kitten, and then we are
thinking we might want a puppy. The puppy would mostly be my husbands
dog. We are looking for a dog that has a mellow disposition, medium
sized to large, and won't bark too much when my husband is gone for
How'd a Siamese get in this litter?25 Jul 2003 17:21 GMT2
I was just looking thru the private party adoption web site at
www.k9adopt.org, when I happened upon this: a rescued/stray female gray
& black tiger was up for adoption with her litter which consisted of 3
typical tiger gray & black kittens and a 'Siamese looking one".    I
What is he doing?25 Jul 2003 12:12 GMT7
Lately Chase has taken to coming to me with one of the cats' toys in his mouth,
yowling the entire time.  He'll find me and drop it at my feet.  I thought
maybe he wanted to play fetch with them, the way Paintball does, but if I throw
them, he doesn't chase after them.  He just ...
How long to keep new cat indoors?25 Jul 2003 11:19 GMT5
Just got a 5 year old female cat from the Cats Protection League. The
cat had been living with an elderly lady but she recently had a stroke
and had to give the cat up.
The cat has always been an indoor/outdoor cat and we'd like to
Is grooming always friendly?25 Jul 2003 01:08 GMT1
Jack (1 year old, ~10 lbs) and Rizzo (4 mos. old, ~4 lbs.) get along well,
and pass many hours of the day engaging in vigorous competitions from the
Kitty Olympics: chasing, wrestling, climbing, et cetera.  During their
quieter moments, Jack likes to groom Rizzo with what appears to ...
He's starving himself...why?24 Jul 2003 22:26 GMT7
Jack is a 15 year-old tuxedo cat that is not eating.
He'll drink water, but he will not eat.
He meows for food and always takes an interest  in what we are eating,
but he just smells whatever we put in front of him and walks away.
Bet YOUR kitten's never done this!24 Jul 2003 21:18 GMT8
We adopted two kittens several weeks ago. One handsome snowshoe named
Hiro, one lovely tortie named Lola.  Mostly I'm finding that having
each other to drag around and pounce on keeps them out of trouble.
Mostly.
Thanks for the advice, kaeli!24 Jul 2003 15:18 GMT1
I really appreciate it!

doesn't want to go for a walk outside anymore23 Jul 2003 22:02 GMT6
Hi, I'm new here. I'm feeling very worried and I'm hoping someone can shed some
light on this.  Over the past month or so my kitty hasn't wanted to go outside
for her usual walk around the yard. Even with my coaxing her with treats, she
turns right around to go back into the house.
Help! Cat not eating [Long]23 Jul 2003 21:28 GMT1
My 17-year-old tuxedo female, Faridah, has gone off her food of late. I
took her to the vet yesterday, and he couldn't find anything wrong with her.
A little background:
Faridah was the only cat for many years. When she was about 3 or 4, I
Water in dry food23 Jul 2003 20:26 GMT1
Without revisiting the arguments for and against wet or dry food, I have a
question about adding water to a cat's diet.  Lately, I've been adding a lot
of water to each serving of the dry food I feed my cats (Nutro Natural
Choice Complete Care), and they love it.  They lap up all ...
Resident female cat does not accept new kitten Help!!!!!23 Jul 2003 16:56 GMT2
My wife and I have an almost 5 year old neutered male cat and a just over 3
year old spayed female cat.  We just got a female kitten who isn't spayed as
she is not yet old enough.  The male was a bit wary at first but has
accepted her with great lengths - watching her, giving her ...
Aggressive Kitty w/older cat23 Jul 2003 03:56 GMT1
I have a 1-1/2 year old, female blue russian cat.  She is very mild
manner and friendly.
I also have a 9 week old, female siamease kitten. She is somewhat
aggressive and has a big appetite.
Friend for chatty cat?22 Jul 2003 13:46 GMT4
I have one cat, a brown tabby named Spenser, who's a year and four
months old.  I adoped him at the Humane Society last summer.  He's a
very sweet, rather timid cat, and also the noisiest cat I have ever
met.  He just seems to like the sound of his own voice!
