What happens in a FIRE?29 Jul 2003 19:01 GMT8
OK.  I had the strangest dream last night.  Bottom line is my house was
about to go up in flames with a fire smoldering within the walls.  I went
looking for my cats and they were hovering at the bottom of the basement
stairs, looking up at me with those, well, you know, cat looks.  ...
Paintball hates me sneezing29 Jul 2003 15:14 GMT3
Just kinda funny....I'm developing a cold, sneezing included.  Every time I
sneeze, Paintball comes up and fusses and me in a highly pissed-off voice.  (I
guess it hurts her ears or something--I have a fairly big sneeze.)

Update on 'Ed'...my hunter and gatherer29 Jul 2003 13:55 GMT1
Just wanted to thank you all again for the great suggestions regarding Ed
bringing in all kinds of dead/alive animals through the dog/cat door.
I'm still trying to find an electronic door that will fit in the brick wall
opening, but in the meantime I've got him wearing a harness ...
What is best?29 Jul 2003 09:58 GMT3
Hope you can help.  My little cat oliver is 2 years old, and totally adored
and spoilt.  The thing is, I hate going away and leaving him, as the people
who look after him only pop in to feed him and let him in/out.  It's kind of
them to do so, but on the rare occasion  if I do do go ...

DYI Feliway diffuser28 Jul 2003 00:59 GMT3
I'm thinking of ordering some of the Feliway diffuser refills from US as
they're not available (yet) in Australia. Can anyone tell me if it would be
possible to empty the contents into the vial of one of the household
"Ambipur" type diffusers (ie the supposedly nice smelling things ...

Just posting to ask if anyone out there has any advice as regards
looking after a cat with possible irritable bowel syndrome/food
allergy problems. Over the past 12-14 months Herbie( a male, grey,
long-haired 11 year-old former stray)has been suffering from chronic
Mitzi update27 Jul 2003 14:58 GMT5
I posted yesterday under "He's starving himself ... why?" and thought I
would update directly.
I took Mitzi back to the vet to day as she still wasn't eating. Just as well
as she was dehydrated today - she wasn't when I took her on Wednesday.
Emery boards?27 Jul 2003 14:51 GMT5
Why do cats like emery boards so much? Mine tries to eat it.  And also digs
very deep into my wife's makeup bag to get at it.  Is the smell of the glue
they use? Or more of a texture thing?

Style & Flair 27 Jul 2003 03:51 GMT2
Apparently, Taz has as much of a leaning toward the flamboyant as
Timmy.
He really *could* jump up into that chair seat.  But that's just way
too dull.

i rescused from a lady with at least 35 other cats and kittens.  My mother

Meetoo checked into hospital overnight tonight- I'm nervous26 Jul 2003 15:18 GMT4
My original post about Meetoo was about her arthritis but her blood test came
back and the vet said her calcium is high. Her potassium is low. She also has
an elevated heart rate. They are keeping her overnight to give her an IV
containing potassium and some insulin.
Post neutered cat & litter box26 Jul 2003 14:26 GMT3
I'm bringing home my kittie today that's just been neutered.  What's the
best litter for the litter box while he's recuperating?  He's not supposed
to use the standard litter.  Any suggestions?
