Rescue Alert Stickers AKA Fire Safety Stickers31 Jul 2003 23:29 GMT4
I've been meaning to get at least one of these ever since Purina sent me
one through a promotion they had. However, what they sent me was a
"sticker" made out of plastic that I think I was supposed to apply to my
window via static cling (or something). In any event, I live on the ...
Hairballs and Peeing outside box- is there a link?31 Jul 2003 20:50 GMT2
Hello, new to the group here.  I am the owner of 2 cats, Tycho, NM, 17
and Ginger, SF, 10.
Ginger is a small shorthaired kitty.  She has recently (over the last
year) peed outside the box on and off.  Vet checks her out to be fine.
Question about scars and fur growth...31 Jul 2003 16:08 GMT1
A stray kitten turned up last week, and I've been caring for her.
She's becoming very friendly, and I was trying to clean her up...  She had a
spot of crusty matted fur between her eyes, so I moistened a tissue and
touched it to the spot for a few minutes to soften it up.
swollen ear31 Jul 2003 07:49 GMT3
I have a male longhair. He's an outdoor cat living in the country.
I noticed that his right ear is swollen. It's kind of round and soft
and doesn't seem to hurt him when I examine it. I tried giving him a
little ibuprobin in his food for it but it has no effect. I can't see

Cat Meowing31 Jul 2003 00:10 GMT6
I have a cat that just doesn't stop meowing.  He mostly does it  because he
wants to go outside.  We'd like him to be an indoor cat since all our other
cats were indoor cats and we believe they live a healthier life indoors.  I
even tried to let him outside today in our fenced in ...
How about a challenge????????30 Jul 2003 22:25 GMT10
OK, cat people, I ... well actually we, i.e. Mother, the cats, and I, need
some guidance from the best cat thinkers on the planet.  I somehow feel this
is the moment to say "your mission, should you choose to accept it........"
because the situation is rather daunting, taking on ...
litterbox games30 Jul 2003 20:31 GMT1
Watching the evolving relationship between Jack and Rizzo is proving
endlessly fascinating.
They've now decided each other's trips to the litterbox are a really good
way to start a wrestling match and chase.  If both are awake, and one goes
Does the vitamin E speed up the cat's heat?30 Jul 2003 16:30 GMT11
My husband said that they give at farms extra vitamin E for cows and
pigs so they'll get in heat earlier than they normally would. He said
that it could be happen to cats as well. I'm breeding my cat soon and
waiting her to get in heat. She's in heat 4 times a year. I have male
Follow-up question about canned cat food30 Jul 2003 10:34 GMT13
Are there any advantages to canned food over dry food other than the extra
water?  (Because I can easily add water to the dry food I feed my guys.)
Thanks.

Hi all -
is it NOT a good idea to make catnip always available?
I have been offering it to my cat about once a week and only about a
tablespoonful.

help me find a good online pet store that will ship frontline for cats
to the UK.
I have frankly had it with my vet and paying her the equivalent of $40
potassium high- heart problem?29 Jul 2003 19:23 GMT3
A few days ago I posted about my kitty Meetoo-20 yrs. old. She has crf w/
100ml of sub-Q fluid every day. She's been in hospital since Friday. The
original info I had  was that her potassium level was low, and was the reason
for her lethargy and small appetite.
