Scooter lost his collar28 Feb 2010 23:15 GMT12
He wanted to go out yesterday morning for some reason. It's still cold
but not the 15F kind of cold, so I let him out. I only took him in a
month ago and, since his wife and kids are outside he likes seeing
them once in a while. Actually they mostly live in a heated box I
Persia's Home!28 Feb 2010 21:10 GMT26
Got a call from the vet saying Persia could come home yesterday.
She came home with three medications.  Methimazole for the hyperthyroidism
to be taken daily, metoclopramide once every 12 hours to prevent nausea and
the vet said it will also stimulate appetite.  The third is a ...

Today is National Spay Day27 Feb 2010 03:56 GMT3
Hi, people
February 23rd is National Spay Day in the US, and it should be
international. Spaying or neutering is a humane way of preventing
animal shelters from overcrowding, which often results in healthy cats
Facebook/Twitter27 Feb 2010 00:48 GMT19
There seems to be some issues with my employer regarding our use of
Facebook and other social media, so until they get their heads out of
you-know-where and into the current century,  I'll have to bow out.
I've been recieving y'alls invites and would love to participate but
My Space.. sorta on topic.26 Feb 2010 21:25 GMT7
I know, the subject of Facebook and Twitter has been discussed,
but does anyone have a MySpace account?
I do and I have 23  'friends'  but I hardly visit there any more because
I just don't have the........for it like I used to.
Paradoxical Ending26 Feb 2010 21:23 GMT21
Paradoxical Ending?
Thought iwas giving up but maybe not. Perhaps it is just a matter of
finishing the book. Everything has an ending, even life. It is like my
art: the more you do, the more you can do, but with the kitties I had

Thrill a Minute in MileHigh...NOT    OT26 Feb 2010 19:35 GMT3
First the pilot light failure downstairs, turning the house into a
large fridge...now Godzilla/Firefox
refuses to browse and keeps no memory of my visits to websites, such
as rpca.
The Armadillo25 Feb 2010 23:48 GMT2
It can be said that Sabrina came to us at a disadvantage. Very small
next to her new siblings, sickly from the abuse she'd suffered, and
front-declawed, we knew she had her work cut out for her. She'd been a
single cat for a long while before we got her, and putting her amidst
Persia's in the Hospital25 Feb 2010 16:10 GMT44
She still hadn't eaten anything but a couple of treats since last Friday so
I called the vet.  They told me to bring her in.  Easier said than done
since she was under the couch.  I went back to the bedroom and shook the
bottle of treats.  That lured her out.  Then I shut the ...
Persia Update 2/23/201025 Feb 2010 00:41 GMT24
I went to see Persia today.  Poor little girl has an IV drip and when they
brought her in she looked like a regular hospital patient with a pole and
bag hanging from it.  She's been eating by syringe and they have been really
pushing the meds for hyperthyroidism to get it to back ...
Where's the boss?24 Feb 2010 23:49 GMT1
I play a lot of bridge, my main hobby and also my job.  Recently there
was a Welsh qualifying event for a national final.  Unusually, I was not
there, but my wife was [I am unavailable for the final].
One of my friends was surprised.  "Where's the boss?" he asked my
Cats and Squirrel Logs24 Feb 2010 23:46 GMT5
Went out to check and fill all the cat, squirrel, bird, etc feeding
stations so they could all eat the next morning and seen something I
never seen before.
I shined the light on the squirrel logs and a pair of eyes shined
Purrs and Prayers for my DH?24 Feb 2010 23:00 GMT28
I am asking for some prayers and purrs, (which I think are kitty prayers),
for my DH.  He suffers from sleep apnea, among other things, and on Friday,
his CPAP machine (that helps him breathe)  broke and the place where he got
it, 19 years ago, is giving him a bunch of really ...
