Kenzie's lab results; May 28, 09 (long)30 May 2009 23:49 GMT9
I spoke with TED today. I got the good news/bad news report :(
Kenzie's thyroid function is very, very good.
Kenzie's liver function tests were improved, but some by a lot, and some
by only a little; one was back to normal. TED is hoping that they will
Tiger is at the vet30 May 2009 23:43 GMT15
Early this morning I took Tiger to the vet.  He needs a rabies shot and
a badly needed "butt shave".  He has to be sedated for the shave because
he doesn't take kindly to being "messed with".  That means he didn't
have breakfast and he will probably be a terror when I pick him up at
I touched Tabitha!30 May 2009 21:15 GMT3
Tabitha is the poor little stray tabby kitty who seems to have taken
over from Stripy Thing as the resident stray. Stripy Thing's gone off
to wherever he goes when the weather gets bad and I haven't seen him
all week... but Tabitha has adopted his behaviours! She is starting to

Calming puurrs for Molly?30 May 2009 18:38 GMT6
She is all riled up about something.  She has been staying out too
much the last few days, and seems as wild as a March Hare when she
does come in.
I was able to check her completely for owies and injuries tonight and
Boyfriend's routine30 May 2009 16:40 GMT3
He likes to have his breakfast and then go out for a few hours.  He will
return about 10 or 11 and sleep on the spare bed on the duvet until 5.
He then expects his evening meal and will go out again if the weather is
good.   If it's raining he goes back to bed.
Tuffty30 May 2009 12:59 GMT16
Tuffty went to the rainbow bridge today with a little help from the vet.
He was feral and would only let me touch him, but he had a very sweet nature
despite that. We shared many an afternoon in the garden, he would demand
tummy scritches and rubs by rolling over in front of me no ...
Fluffy stray is not a stray30 May 2009 12:33 GMT8
a while ago I posted about a fluffy gray kitty that was around my
apartment complex.  She loves to roll around on the concrete and show
how pretty she is.
Well recenty i saw her again and left out some kibble.
Herding cats!29 May 2009 23:02 GMT6
The termite guy's coming around tomorrow to de-termite the skirtings
and door frames... and he wants the cats shut out of the way before he
gets here. They'd be happiest hiding under the bed, but since he needs
to work in the bedroom that's not an option. The only place we can put

We have baby squirrels.  (As well as a not so hot camera and shaky
hands)

RSPCA: do they have too much autonomy?28 May 2009 16:31 GMT32
Yes, I think so.  An RSPCA "inspector" has no more right to break into my
house than a member of the public does,  not that they ever did here but
they think they can.   They think they are "animal police"  In fact they are
a charity and none of the "inspectors" have any more ...
Can I ask for purrs for Kenzie, please?28 May 2009 15:38 GMT18
I take Kenzie to TED on Wednesday, to see how the Tapazole is working on
her thyroid. They will also check her liver and thyroid, which were both
very bad when I first took her in.
Ted couldn't account for why Kenzie's liver and pancreas were so bad.
