Update and purrs for those in need01 Apr 2009 00:40 GMT9
A few weeks back I wrote that I'd be off line for a while, and that's
what's happened. I downloaded msgs today for the first time in a long
time, and found over 2500. I didn't even try to read everything, just
skimmed the subjects headers to try to catch up with what's been going
Gray Kitty update31 Mar 2009 23:42 GMT9
Just a short update. Seems to me he's made marked improvement after
just one day of meds - hope it's not just wishful thinking. The best
thing is that he's eating. I'm guessing that the steroid is helping
reduce the pain and inflammation in his gums, as it seems to soon for
Victoria's REAL name is Little Bit31 Mar 2009 23:04 GMT10
So yesterday, apparently she told DH her name, because as we were
talking about her food and catbox experiences, he said something like
"And then Little Bit had some..." and I stopped him and he looked
puzzled. We decided it must be her name. She responds to it, too!
The Owl and the Pussy-Cat31 Mar 2009 17:10 GMT5
Saturday's "9 Chickweed Lane" comic is cute, and references the Edward
Lear poem "The Owl and the Pussy-Cat" (I think the reason I like that
strip so much is the literacy of the creator and the characters).

Claw colors?31 Mar 2009 02:25 GMT9
I was trimming everyone's claws tonight and noticed that the part of the
claw that is supposed to be pink is black on most of Aby's claws. Does it
mean he has a health problem of some kind?

Gray Kitty Update (30 mar 0 darkhundred)30 Mar 2009 23:34 GMT7
Gray Kitty is definitely gaining strength now that he's eating. I just
gave him the last of a can of 9 lives, so he's eaten a can in the last
24 hours (assuming he eats all this). He's also found the water bowl
and litter box. Last night he urinated on the bathroom rug, but I saw
I can't look at you..30 Mar 2009 22:00 GMT2
Imp is a shy kitty, but when I'm curled up in bed he'll come up for
snuggles.  I'll pet him and scritch him, and usually he'll bury his
head in my pillow or blanket.  I've come to learn over time that this
is a sign of affection, like an "Ahhhh, that feels soo good!"
Midnight has an eye ulcer30 Mar 2009 21:36 GMT18
I haven't been online much because I've been ministering to Midnight who
managed to develop an ulcerated eye since Friday night.  The vet has me
giving her eyedrops every 4 hours around the clock (yawn) and I'm due to
take her in for a recheck in a little while.  The good news is ...

I should keep my mouth shut30 Mar 2009 16:17 GMT7
Snoopy likes to stand on my chest and make biscuits while I stroke her when
I go to bed. When she gets really purry she sometimes dribbles, last night
she dribbled at the exact moment I yawned. Not the nicest thing to happen.

Mash30 Mar 2009 16:15 GMT19
Last night I fell down the stairs at a friend's place. I landed with my
entire weight on my left knee and mashed it up real good. Whilst I could
move it (painfully) a few minutes after that (enough to get myself back up
the stairs) but within the hour it was resembling a black, ...
