| Thanks for the purrs | 31 Dec 2008 23:48 GMT | 8 |
I want to thank everyone who offered purrs and condolences with my Mom's passing. Mom was not someone who was crazy about pets of any kind - but there is one story about her and a cat that shows what kind of person she was.

| Advice needed (OT and only for the more "mature" ladies) | 31 Dec 2008 23:30 GMT | 42 |
Well i did ask for it from my GP in view of my mum but it does make me feel ancient to get my new year new experience! On the 13th of January I get my first mammogram! I am going but the leaflet wasn't hugely informative apart from

| Auntie June had to come | 31 Dec 2008 20:26 GMT | 17 |
Kitty Farmcat has been banging her feet on the floor for a few days. It suggests to me that she is is uncomfortable with her claws. There is no way that I can trim her claws without help. Phone Auntie June. She came and we did it between us in a few minutes.

| The trouble with girls | 31 Dec 2008 19:06 GMT | 7 |
Bonnie is unlike any girl cat I've ever known, so now that I have two others I'm seeing they will be the hurdle to get over to integrate Patches with everyone else. I thought the problem was Scarlett because the short times I let Patches out to run everyone is cool with her but ...

| This is getting ridiculous! | 31 Dec 2008 18:44 GMT | 13 |
A few weeks ago Sammy went wandering, and we're looking for his furry orange butt. Then this month Cleopatra crossed the bridge. This hasn't been an especially good quarter, catwise. Last night we let the cats go out back for a little while, then brough

| As begins the new, as ends the old | 31 Dec 2008 08:33 GMT | 8 |
I began this New Year on the 1st, kicking my DH out when I found out about a pack of lies he had told me. You would think the days had gotten better; they have not. Today (on the other side of midnight) is the anniversary of my rape;

| My kitties miss their junk food | 30 Dec 2008 17:52 GMT | 12 |
Last week, I ran out of the super-premium cat food that my kitties usually eat, so I went to the mom & pop next door to get them some canned Friskies, to tide them over until I could get to the store that sells the good brand. It's hard for me to get there during the work

| Introducing my friend Stripy Thing | 30 Dec 2008 16:05 GMT | 2 |
There's a pretty grey tabby cat who lives at our complex. He's been here for a few years now, and he's come to be a good friend to me... at first he'd wait until I went over by the lake and he'd come slinking out of the bushes to say hello and get some scritches, and

| Persia likes french fries! | 30 Dec 2008 15:49 GMT | 9 |
I made a batch of baked (from frozen) skinny french fries. They're like the kind you can get at a fast food hamburger joint. Crispy. They were just something for me to snack on. Apparently I dropped one on the kitchen floor as I was taking them off the baking sheet. Next ...
