Cinders visits TED16 Jul 2008 22:51 GMT8
I finally managed to get Cinders to TED for her checkup. She was supposed
to go a couple of weeks ago, but is fairly adept at reading my body
language and managed to evade me up until now.  The vet said that she was
in good condition for a cat of about 12 years old (I am not her ...
Xolxo at TED16 Jul 2008 22:51 GMT12
Xoxo went for his annual exam today. We'll have the bloodwork results on
Monday, he gets the "senior wellness exam" which includes all kinds of
labwork. He was very good the entire time, even though he was poked and
prodded. The bad news is that he needs to go in for a dental ...

Today, she stuffed us in those nasty boxes, and put us in the noisy
rolling box. But that's only the START of the problums! When we got to
TED's office, we wuz poked about with thermometers and needles and TED
sez we has to have our teef cleaned. Then he told Meowmie we haz to
Purrs for missing kitties16 Jul 2008 22:40 GMT8
No, none of the mid-Iowa clowder. Someone on one of other mailing lists
has had her two kitties go missing. Zippy, the girl cat, went missing
Sunday night. THe boy cat, Scooter, went missing Monday night. They are
doing the expected canvases of the neighborhood, etc but they ...
KFC today16 Jul 2008 22:39 GMT49
I'm glad I didn't take the vet's advice about sending her to RB just yet.
She continues to drink her rehydration fluid in preference to plain water -
she has a choice.  It has made a real difference to her, so thank you to
those who suggested it.
He's going to take another dive16 Jul 2008 21:02 GMT15
I'm convinced that, at some point, Caliban will take another swim in the
ocean. He waltzes out on the jetty and hangs over the edge, just like he
did last summer. He doesn't seem to have learned anything.
The swallows have their nest under the jetty again, and this year, they
Do your cats hunt for greeblies?16 Jul 2008 20:16 GMT21
Periodically I photograph and document the ongoing cat-related
nonsense at our house and send them to Flippy for her kitty website.
Here's the latest, about our three Girls' ongoing hunt for greeblies.
Do(es) your cat(s) also participate in this typically feline

Meanwhile Back on the Island. . . Tanada tells another one16 Jul 2008 02:20 GMT1
While the cast and crew of The Mouser were dealing with the Dread Pirate
Fifi, the fat wench, Tanada, the cabin kits, and other non-combatants were
enjoying the weather on FranknNikki Island.  OK, they were bored.  They
didn't have permission to explore the island, couldn't go ...

Rabies Shots15 Jul 2008 22:51 GMT26
Is there a rabies vaccination for cats that lasts longer than a year?
I thought there was a 3 or 5 year vaccination.  The local vet says
no.  This is for a feral cat that is really hard to catch on a yearly
basis!
Sammy (RB)15 Jul 2008 22:50 GMT8
Just got an email from my boss, Bev, she was supposed to go for an interview
this morning but didn't as she just had to take Sammy, her 13-year old owner
to the vet- he had cancer and there was nothing anyone could do but send him
on his way
