more purrs and prayers, please?09 Jul 2008 22:16 GMT10
My daughter again has found herself in a stressful
situation. I swear she gets more than her share.
Anyway, she and I would appreciate more purrs
and prayers that the situation is very temporary. We'd
Update:  OT:  Grandma Shirley and Andrew   and not OT:  Hunter aka Star09 Jul 2008 21:31 GMT29
My MIL's pancreatic cancer symptoms are worsening and the oncologist has
her on self administered morphine at home and has read her the riot act
about eating more.  It is hard to see her with so much pain/discomfort.
Being the strong woman of honest hardworking Saskatchewan ...

Haven't been here for quite a while.  Firstly, condolences to all who
have had to say goodbye to furkids (it was 3 years yesterday that my
Mookie went to RB, so it's been a crappy weekend in that regard, and
I'm so sorry for your losses).  I couldn't make it 2 months after

GW: Mystery find09 Jul 2008 06:50 GMT7
So, I'm cleaning the boxes this morning, nothing out of the ordinary
there. I stand up in the green bathroom and notice something on my left
foot. It looks like a dry leaf or something like that. Upon closer
inspection, it's a somewhat freshly-smooshed little frog. On my foot. ...
My feisty old ladycat update (long)08 Jul 2008 22:07 GMT29
Dang me if this cat won't be the death of me!  My nerves have been in shreds
lately what with her having to be hospitalised a few weeks ago, recovering
slowly from that,  going missing and me doing all the climbing over fences
searching,  getting found and going downhill again ...

They are so cute.  I don't get much done around here because I'm watching
them and laughing at them and putting the stuff back together that they
manage to take apart. They will be introduce to the big cats, Aggie and
Capturing temporary files08 Jul 2008 19:11 GMT7
Years ago, a helpful RPCA'er captured the Bubbels program from a temp
internet file while the program was running, and made a copy of the file
to keep on her hard drive. She emailed me a copy of it so I could play
it locally, too. Still have it!

I found these on Flickr.  I don't know this guy but he has some great pics
of his cats.  The ones of the two cats together are great.

Give me the Jerky and no one gets hurt08 Jul 2008 17:24 GMT8
We like beef jerky here at Chez Shirk.  We all seem to like it.  Even the
d-thing can smell it coming from a mile away and is waiting at the door when
the groceries come in the house.  So, we have been killing time while
keeping Rob entertained by visiting Gander Mountain, a ...
Weird Scary Chester Experience - UPDATE08 Jul 2008 13:01 GMT5
Well, Chester stayed in the basement all day until about 6 PM.
He looks okay - seems relaxed on the main floor now but still won't go
upstairs.  Seems to be walking OK and his pupils seem to responding OK
to the light.  DD brushed him tonight and he was happy and purring.

Miranda Did Not Approve of Caliban's new sleeping place. So she decided
to dig him out. Caliban held his ground, though. He was very disgruntled
at not being allowed to nap in peace (look at final shot - Pleeeeeze let
me sleep!)
Job Purrs08 Jul 2008 04:12 GMT10
Okay I went for an interview last week and I thought it had gone very well
and now they have called me back to say they are impressed by me but also
several other candidates. The office manager has one consultant she thinks I
would be perfect to work for but she also has another ...
