| Social scratching | 12 May 2008 16:58 GMT | 8 |
Sometimes Miranda just melts my heart, she's so cute. We have a new routine where I go over to the cat tree and scratch one of the levels with both hands, just like a cat getting really into sharpening its claws on a level surface. Miranda will then come running,

| Abelard Today | 12 May 2008 16:17 GMT | 27 |
I left him in his bed for the night with a litterbox next to it. This morning I found him in the room with the rest of the litterboxes, one of which sported a long unburied poop which I assume was his, and a few wet spots on the floor. He must have fallen over into one of them ...

| A couple bad but some good things | 12 May 2008 02:01 GMT | 57 |
One My vet has retired it is good for him since he has been my vet for over 24 years and has done wonders to help the community. He saved so many animals I can't count that high. The bad thing is his two partners one is a hopeless idiot the other is a cold person good vet ...

| Aby tried to eat | 12 May 2008 00:51 GMT | 6 |
I guess the force-feeding got his appetite to wake up, because this morning he showed strong interest in food and tried to eat on his own. Unfortunately he was unable to do it, so he got babyfood again, via syringe. He seems a bit less wobbly today - another 5%, I would guess - ...

| Holly takes control | 12 May 2008 00:50 GMT | 6 |
I was grading papers yesterday when the ceiling fan suddenly turned itself on (high setting, of course). Then it turned itself off. I glanced around...and discovered that Holly was walking on the remote control. Do you suppose she was trying to tell me something? Like, "Forget ...

He spent the night isolated in the bathroom with no light. Had a pill @ 10 PM and I made him swallow some tuna juice from a spoon tipped into his mouth. He was not amused. First thing this morning he used the litterbox - the poo was not much, dark

| HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY | 11 May 2008 05:21 GMT | 9 |
Sunday, the 11th, is Mother's Day, and even if you don't have any barekittens, you have your furbabies of all types, (d*gs, moose, etc) and Mosey and I want to wish you all a Happy Mother's Day. IDK if Mother's Day is a USA Holiday or if it's Global.

| Carpet-less Scratching Post? | 11 May 2008 03:40 GMT | 11 |
It's time to retire the boys' old scratching post, and I'm looking for a new one. It has to be tough and sturdy of course. But I've decided I don't want a post with any carpet on it anymore. The cats have pulled the carpet out of the base of the old one, so it looks just ...

| Healing purrs desperately needed | 10 May 2008 22:49 GMT | 56 |
Leo - one of the four little ones who were put in a cardboard box in front of my house mid december 2007 might have a pneumonia. Since yesterday I see him breathing heavily and can`t do anything about it as he doesn`t allow me near to him. He, from the start, was the one

| Which Celebrity is Your Cat? | 10 May 2008 22:48 GMT | 3 |
I always thought Hobo was the perfect name for him since he came to us as a stray only looking for a handout. Now it seems he is Simon Cowell. The more I ponder it, the more I think it's right on!! Jeanne
