birds chirping?05 Apr 2008 12:27 GMT2
There has been birds singing/chirps for the last 15 mins. or so and I
have been looking out the door and window and it turns out to be a cat
toy that chirps. Bonnie -- who is not used to toys at all -- has been
playing with this all the time. She is still batting it around. I love

If you do, we could really use some.
DH has gotten a bad knee and can hardly walk for like 3 days now and mine
hurt so bad, I wanna die, but that's the way it is with them.
Poor DH, I feel so bad for his knees, because he takes such good care of me
Freakin' Walgreens pissed me off05 Apr 2008 08:38 GMT29
I go to pick up my photo order today since Granby has been asking for them.
Well guess what they destroyed 3 rolls of film.  Than when I questioned them
how 3 rolls were destroyed they blamed me for it.  I said how in the hell
could I ruin the film when it was one of you that put ...

Pokey Smokey05 Apr 2008 06:14 GMT3
Fil,
I hope you don't mind, but I forwarded your post about Smokey's
"extreme poke" to a friend of mine who I thought would enjoy it.
I took out all identifying info. (Also, btw, this is the same
Please don't post real names and addresses without consent05 Apr 2008 01:58 GMT49
I'm posting this now because I know there will be a lot of communication
about a possible meet-up of Catslaves and RPCA members.  That could also
involve exchanging addresses.  I have obviously used my real name and
address for the annual holiday card exchange.  However, I have ...

Medical Alert Systems? (OT)05 Apr 2008 00:21 GMT14
We've all seen the commercials (and heard the jokes).  "Help! I've fallen
and I can't get up!"  But it's a real concern for seniors living alone.
(Good lord, I sound like a commercial.)  Does anyone have any experience
with these types of systems/services?  Any recommendations?  ...
What concerns me is...04 Apr 2008 23:44 GMT61
I know some of us have little money in here and have to stick to a tight
budget.  But I just wondered, how can you "afford" a cat??  I mean, at any
given illness/problem, the vet bill can be thousands of dollars!  (Thinking
of Felix and his ongoing problems w/his ears and ...
Stinky Report Part 204 Apr 2008 22:24 GMT18
I took Stinky to the vet to get his second subQ, and to learn how to put the
line in myself.  Well, I did it, and it was pretty easy -- at least with the
Stink-man in his usual vet-visit passive mode, and with the vet and tech
standing by.  The big test for me come tomorrow when ...
Stinky Report04 Apr 2008 22:14 GMT26
The vet called this after noons, and said "Stinky's kidneys aren't
working." ):
!@#!@#! ):
She suggested we start him on SubQ fluid therapy.  I'm bringing him back in

I just read that Andrew Loyd Webber has been working on the score to
the sequel to Phantom
of the Opera (the "Phantom of Manhatten, IIRC the book was written in
1999)
Cat Annoyance - Hoolie cat04 Apr 2008 19:53 GMT1
Any of you have one of these?
Tyrone curled up with me, in the crook of my arm last night and purred.
Just as I was falling asleep, he reached out and dug his front claws into my
chin.  It was rather startling.  I pulled his paw away and held onto his
We get to do SnowCatting again tonight04 Apr 2008 19:16 GMT15
It's now spring. The calendar says so. The weatherman says so. The cats
say so.
So how come I'm looking out my 3rd floor window at snow? Really heavy
snow. Big, fat, wet flakes of snow. Snow that is NOT melting when it hits
