Sam's Problems22 Mar 2008 18:46 GMT3
Sam adored my new(ish) computer. Not only are its heat vents in exactly
the right spot, it's small enough that there was plenty of room for a
cat to curl up right next to them. I was worried a bit about what this
was doing to the innards of the computer, as I didn't think the ...

Friday Morning - Four Update - Keep dem purrs a-coming!!22 Mar 2008 02:17 GMT9
Charleen has just called me - Four went to the vet at 7.30am and has
been fully examined. TED seems to think that he has torn a ligament in
his knee because it is very swollen and can't be manipulated properly
- hence the rear hind leg paralasis because Four can't put his weight

Jewish Mothers are good cooks, if the food I had tonight was any cause for

Nanki-Poo:  Surgery is over21 Mar 2008 22:11 GMT39
The vet's office just called.  Nanki-Poo is out of surgery and doing well.
They have him on fluids right now, and still think he should be able to come
home around 5:15.
This morning was a bit rough (not even counting having to get up so early).
Our neighbour tried to give me a cat!21 Mar 2008 21:17 GMT7
The lady who lives in the house on the corner has three young(ish)
cats who spend most of their lives outside... they're pretty
self-sufficient critters, but one of them is quite friendly and comes
over to say hi to me when I walk past. Anway, apparantly they've seen
Accidents will happen...21 Mar 2008 19:52 GMT10
"Accidents will happen" is the title of a song by Elvis Costello from the
late 70's. And as you all know, most accidents happen in your very own home.
On February 24, it happened to me...
Does this story include cats? Both no and yes. I will explain...
Feline Diabetes21 Mar 2008 19:44 GMT28
I'm beginning to suspect that my elderly, formerly stray cat, Miss Puakea
Makana has feline diabetes.  (Yes, I'll get her into a Vet's office in the
next couple of days for a blood test to be sure.)
Anyway, Pua's 10 + years, getting thinner slowly, she drinks a HECK of a lot

Purrs asked for Granby21 Mar 2008 19:28 GMT12
I got an e-mail from Gramby and she's taking a few days off to deal with
some 'stuff', and I'd like to ask for some PURRS for her.
She'll be back in a few days :)
WE LOVE YOU GRANBY
You guys are wonderful21 Mar 2008 19:27 GMT12
I'm so sorry I haven't been here much lately.  I have been so depressed,
it has been hard for me to do much of anything.  I try, but I am getting
so much bad news that it just makes me want to crawl into bed and read a
book.
Mistletoe's v*t visit21 Mar 2008 19:22 GMT6
So came the day and the appointed hour when Mistletoe had to see her v*t
for her annual "how ya doin?" visit.  She wasn't impressed with going in
"da box" and then in "da noisy vibratin' thing".
Got to the v*t (who we think is great) and actually hissed when he took
Purrs for a prodigal foster kitty21 Mar 2008 19:00 GMT6
A few weeks ago Louie and i agreed to watch a couple of foster kitties for
Tenth Chance. And then the day they were to be delivered I fell and sprained
my achilles tendon and 2 ligaments surrounding the ankle; and this is why I
haven't been here as much as I'd like. But I digress. ...
