Purrs request for a remarkable cat lover31 Mar 2008 04:29 GMT56
I just found out my great-aunt Ernestina was run over by a bus in Mexico
City and is seriously injured. She is 80 something years old and was
leaving work when the accident happened. Yes, you read right. She still
works. She's a remarkable woman, really. Her family did not want ...
My kind of people31 Mar 2008 04:13 GMT4
The Toronto Star has an article about a group of people not far from
me who travel to colonies of feral cats. They distribute food and
other comfort to them, and I admire them for it. I specialize in just
one feral homeless cat, Mooch (link below), whom I've written about
Happy Purrday to Cat Five!31 Mar 2008 02:39 GMT13
March 24, 2004 we brought home our brown tabby girl from the local shelter
(not a no-kill) - a shy adult female (estimated 3 years old then) that was
possibly days from being put down to make room in the crowded shelter for
kitten season. She didn't appear social to shelter visitors ...

You posted something with the subject YouTube Video.  I've got a filter to
delete anything with the word "video" in the subject line.  If it's really
worth watching could you repost it (or email it to me)?  Thanks!

Cat in the Hat30 Mar 2008 22:58 GMT2
Here Pam, just for you.
I am very light skin tone so have to wear a hat when in the sun.  I bought a
while lace type one the other day.  Had it on the table when the kids came.
They wanted me to try it on.  Without thinking, I grabbed both sides and
Archer and Ozzy30 Mar 2008 22:29 GMT10
I know I haven't posted a lot lately - I've been lurking only because life
has been whipping my butt something awful and I tend to go into full retreat
mode when that happens.  However, I just needed to share this story.
The other morning DH let me "sleep in" (until all of 8AM!!) ...
Mosey30 Mar 2008 22:18 GMT2
My little Mosey is such a sweetheart. He's a 6 year old long hair gray and
white tabby with a bushy tail and yellow eyes.
I have 3  different  Mosey Cat cards to send to folks. :)
Even tho he loves to wake me up at 3 am to play and sometimes
Real Life30 Mar 2008 22:16 GMT73
I'm thinking of Charleen especially here, but others have been through the
same thing, and I also speak from experience myself.
As much as we share on this here NG and other electronic media, other people
are not privvy to the minutaie of the situation, or our lives, our
Nanki-Poo is home!30 Mar 2008 08:05 GMT66
I was a little disgruntled, but everything is okay now.  They told me I'd be
able to pick Nanki-Poo up at 5:15, "but we'll call you".  When I hadn't
gotten a call by about 5:40, I called.  They said, "Oh, yes.  He's been
ready for a while."  Then, when I got there, the parking ...
RPCA meeting suggestion30 Mar 2008 05:24 GMT7
Some of us do not do water well (I can relate to that, I don't/can't swim),
and others like the idea of a cruise.  Why not do both.  We get together in
Orlando either before or after the cruise for the rest of the gathering.
That way we can have our surf and our turf.
Stinky's vet visit30 Mar 2008 03:16 GMT19
He was a very good boy.
Well, I have to wait for the blood and urine tests.  But the doc said he
looks good for 17. She found no masses. He *has* lost weight.   He got a
glucosamine supplement for his stiffness, and some subcutaneous water.  The
*Kitty Toofpaste*30 Mar 2008 02:24 GMT7
I highly reccommend getting some kitty/doggie toothpaste for your furry
animals, from your vet.
The enzymes in the toothpaste will help your kitty/doggie's health and you
don't HAVE to 'brush' their teeth for it to work.  Just put some on your
Feeling lonely today...29 Mar 2008 23:43 GMT78
Having a severe attack of low self-esteem and despair. Feeling like
I could die right now, and nobody would say much of anything except,
"She seemed like an OK person, I guess, but I didn't know her very
well..." I'm not someone to be remembered with fondness or respect,
Things I Learned From Four29 Mar 2008 23:28 GMT6
1.  Good things come to cats who wait.
2.  While a lot of hoomins are pond scum, there are good ones out there like
Charleen and Helen.
3.  Enjoy the small things like being able to lay in the sun without
