Amanda Lynn July 19, 2002 to January 31, 200808 Feb 2008 22:28 GMT37
My Amanda Lynn left tonight, on an adventure that we only can discover
when we too leave this plane. She lived 3 days longer than the vet
predicted, but the damage to her kidneys was just too great. She died
at 7:05 P.M. Eastern US Time. She was on my lap, with her head cradled
I'm back from the wanna die department08 Feb 2008 22:24 GMT6
Hi again group.  At the beginning of the month, I had some kind of
virus.  I was ill, but able to function, sort of.  Well, you all know
me, I can't do anything by half.  I got out of bed yesterday after
spending four days tossing my cookies and wanting to die.
Mini grieving?08 Feb 2008 22:20 GMT49
You know, its really weird, but Star/Hunter is inside my head.  I keep
dreaming about him like he's in my house and it doesn't help that I
drive by his new home every morning when I take my son to a class nearby.
I don't believe I'm mentally deranged and I'm not planning a stealth ...
Purrs for everyone getting bad weather08 Feb 2008 22:12 GMT53
Central Iowa has had some cold weather and wind storms, but nothing like
the folks in nearby states have been getting. IL, IN, and MO have been
having awful winds, ND, SD, NE, and WI have getting bitter cold - all of
you in those areas, just dig in and hang on. We're sending our ...
Mischief has a FORL08 Feb 2008 22:04 GMT14
Dang it,
Now I'm starting to finally know what its like when I do dental
cleanings and find a tooth that  needs to come out and the owner tells
me "But they NEVER seemed to be in any pain!!!"
REST IN PEACE   SPIRIT 1-29-200808 Feb 2008 21:56 GMT39
Spirit went into respiratory failure this afternoon.  The vet did everything
he could to save him but he was suffering gasping for air at the end.  I
could not let him go on like that.
PLEASE FOR GIVE ME SPIRIT.  I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. PLEASE FORGIVE ME
Hunter and Melba update Jan 29th08 Feb 2008 21:54 GMT5
Well, I received the following message from Sarah:
"Hi Susan,
Just wanted to make sure I tell you how great Hunter is doing these
days. He had quite a weekend. From hiding behind the couch he came out
Stinky Moisturizes08 Feb 2008 04:40 GMT2
A couple of weeks ago, I got a special mini-humidifier.  I keep it by my bed
at night, but it's small enough so I can move it around the house with me.
Stinky loves it.  Whereever it goes-- especially by the bed-- Stinky plants
himself right in front of it, and mists himself.  ...
ARCHER!!!07 Feb 2008 23:54 GMT1
Last night we had roasted chicken for dinner - a favorite of all the cats.
DH gave a bit to Ozzy, but Archer stole it off him and started chowing down.
A few seconds later I heard *very* loud growling and thought it was Demi
reacting to Sammy's baiting her again.  Nope, it was ...
"Star", Melba,  and Sylvester (long)07 Feb 2008 21:36 GMT29
Well, I got Star and he was groggy.  I took him to meet Sarah and she is
an absolutely lovely person - she has had cats before (I thought she
hadn't) and knew how to treat him in his grogginess.  He didn't want to
come out of the carrier so I opened the container of catnip and he ...
Charleen, how's Four doing?07 Feb 2008 21:30 GMT6
Charleen, haven't heard from you for a while - just wondering, how
is Four coming along? Especially with the litterbox issues, but also
any other information you'd like to share with us. Is his wound
continuing to heal?
And, it starts again07 Feb 2008 21:27 GMT16
Last year was not a good year for my cats and I.   I lost  Katie to
pneumonia,  then Ceridwen, Gabriel and Bobby to acute kidney failure.
Now I am going to lose my Amanda Lynn, also to acute kidney failure.
She spent the day at the vets, getting IV fluids, and is now sitting
Blackie & Rainy Boy Takeover07 Feb 2008 21:17 GMT2
I have two cats, blackie, & rainy boy. My wife has Luvy. Well I woke up
the other night, both blackie & rainy was in the bed next to me, on my
wifes side. My wife likes to stay up all hours. I asked her about
blackie & rainy boy in bed. Here is what she said " how can I come to
Purrs, please07 Feb 2008 21:14 GMT22
I often get a little itchy in the winter, nothing too serious.  This year, I
seem to have a near-full-body case of dermatitis.  I feel as if I am being
slowly roasted over an open flame.  The areas of itching are too big for
those little bottles of ointment, although I am ...
Not entirely OT.  Test for over 35 year olds06 Feb 2008 23:21 GMT14
