Cosmo has problems :-(21 Jan 2008 09:53 GMT24
On Saturday, amidst the madness of DH (who is still living here until we
figure out how to do all this so I am not left homeless) and his
half-brother Jason tearing apart my waterbed frame and installing my
"new" plain ol' bed properly, I went to the store with my M-i-L to get

I didn't get the post about swimming with the critters, if you can find it
send it to me.  Blasted D**M server, waited all that time and didn't get to
read about the adventure he had with the dolphins.  Just hisses me off.
Sylvester, Melba, Star, O&C updates - all in one!21 Jan 2008 06:00 GMT9
Sylvester:  He went to my SIL's dad's condo last night since Melba is in
recovery.  He did the commando-cat slinking thing for about 6 minutes
and then turned into an exploring love-slut.  Settled right in.  They
called her dad later and Sylvester was all cuddled up on the couch ...
Neighbor Kitty21 Jan 2008 04:18 GMT3
Like most cats, my guys love to lie around on the front window sill, and
watch the world go by.  They usually do a little bickering for position,
then settle in.  Well, over the past few days, they had been sitting there
absolutely riveted by something.  When it finally crossed ...
cat with a dog brain21 Jan 2008 00:13 GMT6
Mongo, our loud mouthed siamese housemate, in many ways acts like a dog.
Outside, he'll come if I call him.  If I walk somewhere within a block of
the house like the pool, a neighbor, etc., he'll follow along about 10' behind
the whole way.  When I was at an apartment complex, he ...

Integration of Mark is in good progress20 Jan 2008 22:08 GMT6
Hello catfolk,
Our "little one" has given up a good part of his initial timidity. He
is using his "castle" in the cellar very seldom now and likes it more
to roam the house. For a rest there are the sleeping sofa in my room,
Melba surgery update20 Jan 2008 22:00 GMT8
Melba made it through OK but it seems like aggressive and *expensive*
surgery.  There was no obstruction so they took biopsies of a bunch of
organs and removed her spleen.  The spleen removal was because it was
significantly enlarged and that is where cancer often starts???
Georgie sat on my lap20 Jan 2008 21:57 GMT1
I went round my aunt's today to see how Georgie was settling in. She's only
been there two days and already looks like she owns the place, she jumped
onto my lap for a few minutes and purred when I stroked her.
I didn't manage to get any good pictures of her, she seems to be ...

Stronghold20 Jan 2008 18:36 GMT7
Up till now I've mainly used Frontline, sometimes Advantage, for flea
treatments. This time I thought I'd try Stronghold. The cats reaction to
having it put on was much less than Frontline or Advantage, it will be
interesting to see how effective it is.
Young Adult Books - Warrior Cats20 Jan 2008 18:27 GMT5
I know that many of you have children and quite a few of you are
teachers. A lot of us enjoy reading in general and SciFi/Fantasy in
particular. That said, I'm wondering if anyone here is familiar with a
series of books called "Warrior"?  For some reason, three times
