I hate them. And the TV reported one more reason to hate them. A group of former volunteers (camera only showed feet, but it looked like at least a dozen or more) came out to publicly denounce them for their practices, particularly their haste to euthanize dogs there

| My aunt is now a slave | 16 Jan 2008 22:41 GMT | 3 |
As of about four hours ago, she is now owned by a sweet little tabby and white girl called, Georgie. Georgie is about 3 years old and was abandoned, pregnant, by her previous family when they moved. Luckily the neighbours new the rescuer and called her.

| What fun! | 16 Jan 2008 22:22 GMT | 5 |
Miranda here. Meowmie has bought me a new toy. Or rather, many many small toys. She calls them pistachios. She cracks them and puts the boring contents in her mouth so they won't bother me, then she gathers the toys themselves in a little bowl.

| Purrs for Melba | 16 Jan 2008 22:21 GMT | 20 |
On another thread, I mentioned that my brother and SIL adopted Sylvester through the SPCA, inspired by our stories of the kitties there when we dropped off Star. They get Sylvester on the 18th and are adopting him as a companion for their lady-cat Melba. I received the ...

First, I have been reading most of what is going on even if I have not commented on everything so I know some of you are going through rough times. My best regards to all of you and if I can get the brothers to understand they will send their purrs along, I am sure. Things have ...

| Picture of Star on the SPCA website | 16 Jan 2008 22:06 GMT | 36 |
He's beautiful! Unfortunately, there are no direct URL's to the picture but if you go to www.calgaryhumane.ca then click on the "Adopt" word on the LH side, it will bring you to a sorting page. Choose male cats and he is on the

| Life Changes [OT mostly, but blessedly short] | 16 Jan 2008 22:00 GMT | 29 |
I give up on catching up; it's impossible. Warm, soft, fuzzy blanket purrs to all who need them. My bed broke. Again. I had to buy a regular ol' bed, but I guess that's okay. It's comfortable enough, and I can have the cats all back

| Four Jan 2 2008 | 16 Jan 2008 20:24 GMT | 7 |
Wow, time flies, Happy New Year! Four has been a guest on the porch for a month now. I looked at his wound this morning and it is considerable smaller, great strides in that department. He is more comfortable with DH as David has been around because of the holiday days off and ...

| The dangers of laptop computing | 16 Jan 2008 18:08 GMT | 9 |
I don't know exactly what the dangers are, but there must be some horrible, awful, life-threatening dangers that are attached to running a laptop computer with the computer in your lap. That's the only reason why I can see that Amelia would be behaving as she

| Purrs for Wilson, pls | 16 Jan 2008 18:02 GMT | 22 |
Some people may know Jean's cat, Wilson. He's been very unlike himself, just hiding under the bed, not responding to calls or food or anything. he didn't come out this morning, didn't want his breakfast, just wanted to hide. He's six years old and usually a very

| A few tips | 16 Jan 2008 17:14 GMT | 11 |
For those of you who know the 'joy' of ripping one's own body hair out at the roots via the means of a very sticky paste along the line of the hair removal product "Nads", I have a few words of advice: 1) No matter what, make sure you are fully dressed.
