Another friggin crisis!18 Nov 2007 21:12 GMT9
Wheeeee! Just got home to one of those things that make you just want to
cry in desperation.
Our ex-upstairs-neighbors apartment sprang a leak that left us with LOTS
OF WATER EVERYWHERE, half our power out, and just a mess.
Still Sinking [OT]18 Nov 2007 20:51 GMT9
Bob seems to have disappeared.  After DH went down and disassembled and
drained the waterbed, he never showed up to help us move it down here.
Or called.  So I'm still sinking on the air mattress (along with Pinky,
now); DH still doesn't have his computer issues resolved and is ...
UPDATE #2 ON PHANTOM18 Nov 2007 20:51 GMT6
No growls or hissing today.  The tension seems to have relaxed quite a bit.
All 3 were sitting on my table wanting a snack  inches from each other.
There is still a lit bit of nervousness when they walk be each other but so
far so good.  I woke up with Phantom sleeping on my ...
Here we go again . . . Bast, please stop!18 Nov 2007 20:24 GMT24
I've said I'm not in a position to deal with rescues and strays anymore.
I lost my friend Therese over the last one I tried to help (although
he did get a good home).  So why do I have a sleek little black boy on
my (still sinking) bed?
Odie to Rainbow Bridge Recently18 Nov 2007 20:00 GMT6
My friend in FL (Odie's slave) had to do the sad kind thing and have
vet send him to the Rainbow
Bridge a few days ago.....she is an entirely different type hoomin

Dante's Mouse, Part II18 Nov 2007 19:52 GMT5
My mom has a no-tolerance policy on rodents-- I'm don't get as upset about
them, but Mom grew up in a tenement, nowhere near open space, and when a
mouse appeared, that was a sign of dirtiness and squalor.  She is seriously
horrified by them, and if she spots one in the house, ...
It's the Jilly Pillow Mountain!18 Nov 2007 19:05 GMT4
I have multiple pillows on my bed.  There are two covered in shams that
match the bedspread and two that get tucked under the bedspread.  At least,
that's the way it's supposed to go.  I don't bother to make the bed all that
often these days. I have a softer feather pillow I ...
Ping Jill18 Nov 2007 17:30 GMT2
Jill, please don't forget to keep us updated about John.
She washed me!18 Nov 2007 09:38 GMT7
Wednesday and Thursdays are my days off, so I try to sleep in as much
as I can.  At least as long as the cats let me before I submit to
their begging and get up and feed them.
But I digress.....

Boo! OT18 Nov 2007 01:05 GMT23
*waves*
How is everybody?
We're doing good. I'm still limping a bit from that broken leg
nonsense back in May but the second surgery to remove two of my nine
Second Update: current crisis17 Nov 2007 18:40 GMT5
I finally talked to somebody at the office - it looks like mean-spirited
ex-neighbors. They put a plug in the sink when they moved out two weeks
ago, and turned on a slow trickle of water. Yesterday, it overflowed and
seeped into our apartment plus three others.
MCG and Huey the Hut17 Nov 2007 18:26 GMT5
MCG discovered the red dot monster a little bit ago.  She's getting
more honest about playing, or at least letting us see her play, so
Mike found one of h is laser pointers and beamed it near her feet.
She was fascinated but seemed unsure of what to do, so I slapped it.

What to do with a neglectful slave?17 Nov 2007 06:09 GMT4
Fellow masters, it's come to my attention that there have recently been
incidents of neglect by our staff. Food bowls not kept topped up, litter-box
a bit manky, that sort of thing.
What worked for me in the past to keep staff up to scratch was a loud and
