best laid plans21 Nov 2007 09:56 GMT10
For the past month or so I've been feeding a stray at work. She a real
cutey, gray tabby with white chest and belly. Last week I arranged to
borrow a trap, and was planning to catch her and find her a home. Last
night, for the first time, she consented to some petting as I fed her,
Introducing the "Dynamic Duo", Teddy and Batley21 Nov 2007 03:57 GMT7
About 10 weeks ago a friend of mine called me in a panic, and said
that her cat had given birth to one kitten and that she (the cat)
refused to do anything with it. She asked me if I could take the baby
and raise it, and put him up for adoption after he was weaned. I
Expensive cat toy21 Nov 2007 00:01 GMT18
I have sleep apnea, and use a CPAP machine at night.  Lately, I have had
problems with my mouth drooping open during the night.  This lets out some
of the air pressure, and also leaves me with a very dry mouth in the
morning, due to air coming into my nose from the mask, then ...
Greedy Boyfriend20 Nov 2007 20:46 GMT23
He is just getting so greedy.  I feed him and KFC at the same time, he has
more because he is a larger cat.  He can finish his quicker because his
teeth are better than the old girls and then he tries to get hers too.  He
pushes her off it if I am not there to give him a stern ...

Cat hugs20 Nov 2007 04:05 GMT3
Just when i think a stubborn old girl like Sabrina won't pick up on something,
she turns around and surprises me.
The other day I gae her a pick-up and shifted her in my arms. Instead of
flopping over my shoulder, she put one arm around my neck and stayed there
Finally moved in and settled (long)19 Nov 2007 21:39 GMT15
Whew, I'm finally moved in, somewhat settled and back on broadband.
The move went well, took 6 hours and 2 trips, but I got them to move
everything and didn't have to drive back and forth with my car a whole
bunch of times.  I got them to place all the furniture in the correct
Purr request19 Nov 2007 20:52 GMT16
I'd like purrs for my daughter and her two cats.  A couple of weeks ago,
Coco was diagnosed with CRF.  She is doing all right so far; in fact the
doctor just reduced her infusions from daily to three times a week.  Still,
we all know how this ends, just not how long it will take.

A couple of weeks ago you posted pictures of your cat gang. (Nice site,
by the way - very pretty!)
I'm wondering about one of the cats in this photo:

We met Morris!19 Nov 2007 03:38 GMT1
At the TICA show in White Plains (NY), 9Lives spokescat Morris was presented
yesterday with the Westchester Feline Club's award for Cat of the Year, in
recognition of Morris and 9Lives promoting the ‘Morris’ Million Cat Rescue’
program. 9Lives also had a booth set up where for free ...

Great credit in computer book19 Nov 2007 01:25 GMT5
There is a computer book called "Head First Design Patterns".
As usual, I check the flyleaf for copyright date, since technology info
changes so fast. I got a big surprise.
Along with credits for cover designer and all the rest, was:

As our resident familiar with Mexican cooking... what cut of beef would be
used to make burritos?
And give your cats scritches for me ;)

greebling attacks for a long time, she think there are no more
greeblings. HAH! I could have told her just when she lets her gard

The REALLY HUNGRY Roadcat18 Nov 2007 22:06 GMT8
Mornings in our house can get interesting. Nancy gets up before I do, and
she usually has a couple cats helping her get ready for work. I get about
when Nancy's leaving for work. I usually get a visitor while I shower
(Ranger jumps up to the top of the shower door), then anywhere ...
