| A few purrs for Ka'Shay | 04 Nov 2007 22:08 GMT | 12 |
Well tonight she was holding her front right paw up more than usually. So I held her and check her paw out. She some how pulled one of the mutant claws off the other one. The claw was growing off the side of the other claw so it does not have a visible knuckle as her other ...

| Swimming kitty! | 04 Nov 2007 21:19 GMT | 6 |
This cat is actually swimming in a bathtub: http://mfrost.typepad.com/cute_overload/2007/11/just-keep-swimm.html Several people on the page commented that the cat looks like a Turkish Van, a breed that apparently likes water.

| Best scratcher ever! | 04 Nov 2007 17:37 GMT | 4 |
We were at Petsmart a couple of weeks ago, stocking up on litter, when I saw this scratcher (well, almost the same, ours doesn't look quite as "homemade" as this one: http://www.petcite.com/product_info.php?products_id=75

| UK its THAT nigith again | 04 Nov 2007 17:27 GMT | 4 |
The Saturday before the 5th of November- we've got so many fireworks going off outside I feel like I am living in a war zone - Sarsi has made her bed on top of the wardrobe and seems determined to stay up there- Dunzi is running about demanding skritchies funny when she was

| Little Lost (?) Kitten | 04 Nov 2007 16:57 GMT | 14 |
Since we moved, I am not really set up for rescue anymore :-( So I was sighing last night when my next-door-neighbor, Karen, knocked on my door, holding a little orange-and-white baby, asking if it was mine. Nope, not one of mine, but what a sweetheart!

| A Large Maine Coon Cat | 04 Nov 2007 16:22 GMT | 2 |
DH and I went to the cat show today. This is a large Southeastern show with a lot of cats. I think there are fewer breeds than there have been in the past. Of course there were a lot of persians with their squished in faces. I did like the calico persian. She was

| Bird watching hobby | 04 Nov 2007 12:29 GMT | 9 |
CJ and Sigmund ange taken up hummingbird watching as hobbies. CJ gets it right, but Sigmund has it all wrong. They both have the actual bird watching down perfectly, but then that's mostly instinct: they sit quietly (quite a challange for noisy Sigmund)

| Pulled in many directions | 04 Nov 2007 04:40 GMT | 3 |
This morning, I was fixing breakfast. The cats like to help. Little Feet was supervising, Little Boy was sitting on the counter, to inspect the ingredients, and Bucky wandered in to see what he could see. Dulce Mae sat on the end table in the other room - probably as

We had to help Shinobu to the Bridge. She was just over 21 years old. She was a monster as a kitten, and many people thought we named her Chernobyl after the recent nuclear disaster of that time (1986). She was still headstrong and willfull right up to her last days. I have a ...

| Lacey and Barnabus | 03 Nov 2007 23:47 GMT | 7 |
Barnabus wanted to sleep beside me. Usually he settles in by my leg first and Lacey comes and sits on my lap after he's settled down. Tonight they were both asleep when I had to get up and go to the bathroom. When I got back Lacey jumped up into my lap right away.

| Doctor Update [OT] | 03 Nov 2007 23:35 GMT | 17 |
I saw the neurophysiologist - nothing really to report. He's sending me for an MRI and a arterial thoracic ultrasound (he said that when my arm is held straight out (it can't go above shoulder level), that the pulse in that arm diminishes - so he thinks that there's something ...

| Archer is back at the vet! :< | 03 Nov 2007 23:24 GMT | 36 |
Last night Archer ran up the side of the tall cat tree before DH or I could stop him. When he reached the top he, in his usual klutzy style, overbalanced and fell to the floor with his legs flailing. He immediately started limping again. I don't *think* he broke his leg again, ...
