Vids: Caliban and box08 Nov 2007 02:19 GMT12
I bought a new keyboard, and naturally, Caliban got the box. The vids
are very dark (it's very dark around here this time of year):

This one is even darker:
Minke08 Nov 2007 02:09 GMT33
I am afraid Minke died today.  Something very serious happened inside
him: the vet is not sure what, but he was very distressed for a short
time, and the vet said he had to be put down.
Over the last year or so Minke had become very strange, never really
Bucky says Don't. Stop. Don't stop!08 Nov 2007 01:40 GMT12
Okay, I said I had to set up to capture Bucky "not being cuddled", and
finally, after several false starts, failed movies and lots of cussing
(grin), I have put up a short mpg file on my web site.
Mind you, the file is STILL 28MB after all my efforts to minimize it

Sad07 Nov 2007 22:52 GMT8
A few weeks ago I spotted an obvious kin of Max.
I fed him; I talked to him; He preferred his freedom.
I saw him on the road today.
He didn't make it.
Arthur is gone07 Nov 2007 22:39 GMT30
My number one boy Arthur passed away last night after 17 wonderful years
with us. We will miss him terribly. Can't write any more now, but there
are a couple of photos of him here

A painful decision.07 Nov 2007 22:18 GMT27
Despite constant veterinary care for the last three months, and second
opinions, our Lyric has continued to go down hill.  At this point, I
know that she will soon begin to suffer, and I have made the extremely
painful decision to euthanize.   It has been such a hard week for my
Boyfie got hurt  (he's okay)07 Nov 2007 21:54 GMT43
Boyfie came in from rat patrol on Monday evening and went straight to bed
which is not unusual.  What was a bit unusual was the look on his face.  I
don't suppose anyone else would have noticed except me, who knows him so
well.

May it live forever [B&TW]07 Nov 2007 20:50 GMT14
When Shmogg was still with us, one of the things he delighted in was
rustling through the bottoms of the vertical blinds. Anyone who has vertical
blinds will know that they aren't particular robust window coverings, and a
6kg cat rustling around in the bottom of them with great ...
cats composing songs in mediaeval Iraq07 Nov 2007 20:37 GMT4
From the Kitab al-Aghani of Abu al-Faraj al-Isbahani (d.967),
a vast treatise on music in 24 volumes and 10,000 pages:
One day Ibrahim al-Mawsili [d.804, chief court musician to Harun
al-Rashid] longed for a cellar of his.  In it there was a pond to
Cat keeps peeing on my shoes! :(07 Nov 2007 20:25 GMT10
Maybe someone knows about this and has some advice.
My cat Charlotte has started a new habit.  If I put my shoes by the
front door, she pees on them.  I discovered this after I had company
for dinner, and I kept smelling cat urine.  No one else did.  I
New use for a Roomba07 Nov 2007 20:15 GMT5
Giving Mojo medication or arranging a trip to the vet is almost
impossible, like any good cat, he has a sixth sense that alerts tothe
prospect of either. As soon as his "spidy sense" kicks in he makes for
my bedroom and gets under the double bed  which is wide enough that he

Rolecall: RPCA Rainbow Bridge kitties07 Nov 2007 14:26 GMT35
It seems like the past 6 months there have been *so many* RPCA kitties
going to the Bridge.
By my count, no less than 11 RPCA cats have gone to the Bridge, just
since June.
