Suggestions for food change from FF for cat with Granuloma?05 Oct 2007 13:18 GMT14
I've mentioned this before but our cat has a skin allergy around her hind
legs that the vet thinks is a "licky granuloma" caused by an allergy of
some sort.  I'm thinking that it's either because of food or a behavioral
problem that causes her to bite and lick her hair.  I ...
We has a name05 Oct 2007 04:51 GMT2
A word association prompted by Denise (Brenna's human) suggesting a
character from the Darkover series by Marion Zimmer Bradley, led me to
jokingly suggesting Lessa from Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Rider series,
and then to Vanessa.  We're sending off doves and lighting a fire to

Thinkgeek has a T-shirt on clearance sale that says "Obey the cat".  I
bought one of them tonight.  You can see the shirt at

Update #3 on my Brother (OT and long)04 Oct 2007 04:44 GMT6
Once again, hospital service sucks!  They moved Scott from the ICU late
yesterday to a regular room.  They removed one of his chest tubes this
morning and the catheter.  He's still hooked to a heart monitor which is
attached to something that looks like a small briefcase thing with ...
They ate my chicken04 Oct 2007 04:23 GMT35
I had sent this to Lee and she thought I should post it here.
Those "Darling, angelic, loveable Cats,. GGRRR. ate my fried chicken, well
almost.  I decided I wanted some fried chicken and had two legs and two
chicken breasts in the freezer.  I cooked it, and left it in the middle ...
Theory of Cat Gravity04 Oct 2007 04:17 GMT3
I came across this theory of cat gravity as explained by Robin Wood
who is a fantasy artist.  It was probably an interesting night when
she and her friends began discussing this theory but it certainly
explains why things like housekeeping don't get done in my house:
Cat ritual04 Oct 2007 02:00 GMT8
OK, this story should confirm everyone's stereotype of me as one of
those kooky residents of the San Francisco Bay Area: last night, I
attended a Pagan cat ritual.
Pagan humans, that is, not Pagan cats. :) They had a ritual focused on
Rationing the kibble03 Oct 2007 14:57 GMT5
Instead of giving the girls unlimited access to kibble, a few weeks
ago I started measuring out two cups of the stuff every morning when I
get up. Then they get their 1/2 ounce of gooshyfood each at dinner
time. I haven't seen any signs of weight loss yet, but the kibble dish
Kiss him on the head03 Oct 2007 14:38 GMT3
I was cuddling Bucky earlier, and carried him into the kitchen.
I looked at Senyah, and said, "Isn't he a cutie? Isn't he just soooo
adorable that you want to kiss him on the head?"
I brought him close to Senyah, and she kissed him on the head and ruffled
Smudge is a carb freak03 Oct 2007 09:38 GMT5
I'm having these little fruit tart things - little pastries filled
with fruit jelly. Smudge has been howling to go outside, but when I
sat down at the computer with my snack, she jumped up and started
sniffing the package with great interest. So, not below stooping to
Dandruff02 Oct 2007 21:53 GMT5
In the past I've added a couple of drips of Derm Caps liquid over Persia's
kibble; it's a dietary supplement containing various oils including fish oil
and vitamin E.  Used to be, it helped keep her skin nice.  But she's
developed a bad case of dandruff on her lower back and around ...
Weird cat behaviour02 Oct 2007 15:40 GMT4
As I mentioned elsewhere, we have builders in at the moment so every morning
the Fabulous Furballs are locked in the bedroom with food, water and litter.
They don't seem to mind too much, this morning they even went in there and
waited for me to bring their breakfast in for them! ...
Patio JO02 Oct 2007 09:13 GMT6

Siamese points on ears and tail everything else white except for his opera
mask... friendly, purrs lots and happy paws to the point of drooling!!!

Just when you think its safe to go into the water02 Oct 2007 04:32 GMT19
All last week we kept saying we'd get through the week and have a
chance to catch our breath and recharge and perhaps my father and
stepmother (who have been primary support for my brother for a year)
could even take a vacation and relax.  My stepmother ended up in the
And then she woke up02 Oct 2007 01:00 GMT3
Louie came in from  work a few moments ago and decided maybe he'll open the
compter room door and set up the gate so Odessa can walk about a bit. Thus
continues the saga of Louie the jackass... any of you who knows who Gaston
Lagaffe is, can find him alive and well and living in ...
