I've compiled an album of my favourite cat pictures that I've taken
(this is why some lovely pics are missing - like the one of baby Caliban
flashing the camera and grown-up Caliban after he took a dip last summer
- I didn't snap those pics):

I mentioned a while back that I sponsored a black FIV cat called Vinny
through a local shelter and if you remember the woman was surprised
because he was old and not in the best of health and I gave her some
extra cash to buy the old boy some prawns

He's getting a little bit better about not trashing his cage - but he still
whines and cries until I take him out and let him sit on my lap.

upcoming provincial election in Ontario, Canada. The Toronto Star
quotes Lucky's platform from his campaign website as he runs in
Toronto's Davenport Riding:

I visited my brother's house today for the first time since Christmas.  It's
not that I don't love him, I do, but his 3 u/7 children are off the planet
behaviour wise and I can only take it now and again.

Today was Advantage day. There's been altogther too much itching and
scratching around here, so I decided they needed some help. Nobody
likes getting it, but wow, Licky really, really hates it! I have to
bring him into the bathroom with me and close the door so he can't

The waiting is over, the bug-bomb dissipated, and we finally got to go
back inside. I got the crate in, closed drawers and doors, then opened
the door to the crate. Nobody wasted a second leaving the crate (big
grin).

I had a Tivoed a bunch of episodes and in one, Grant is in a bedroom,
trying to listen/watch for any signs of paranormal activity.
Suddenly his head cocks and he whispers to the camera about this

Well!  I never thought our 3-legged Gracie would do very well catching
ONE mouse.....  The first couple were small...young...and she gifted
them to me on my bed.  Sweet.  I lost count at 7!  We'd sealed off all
the holes and I bought new traps, but Gracie seems to have made it her

Rob got Tanada last night.  We've been eating a lot of those tasty
legumes that add their own perfume to the atmosphere.  Yup, beans.
Tanada was laying in the cat bed on my desk, hoping that none of the
bigger cats would try to stare her out of it.  After we finally agreed

Scott went home last evening and he's doing very well.  He still has one
chest tube in.  It's attached to a rectangular box he wears slung over his
shoulder to collect fluid as it drains.  (If it were black it would look
like he was carrying around a tricorder from the old Star Trek ...
