I got my direct deposit today, and he paid me for the day I took off to get
Odessa home from the vet. You know, the day I told Louie he was lucky we were

Yesterday, over to Sainsbury's to get, among other things, more cat
food (and with instructions from the owners not to even think of saving
money by buying anything other than Felix 'As Good as it Looks').

I am responsible for the near-complete spoilage of the Odessa-Doll and thus
hang my head in parental shame.
Her antibiotic course complete, we decided to break her back in with the
other kids carefully, making sure there was no stray pieces of kibble for her

Today is day 3 of spritzing Persia with the Duoxo spray.  It seems to be
helping.  I'll give her a good brushing on Friday and see what shakes out,
so to speak ;)

I just wanted to touch base with everyone; I know I've been gone a long time
although I've lurked recently.  Real life this past year has just been so
all-consuming that I just could not keep up--kid issues, parent issues,
health issues, etc.

My friend has an elkhound, Tara aka Tarabelly, who turned 15 earlier
this year. She's had arthritis since she was 11.  Unfortunately, Tara
has declined in the last few months to the point where every
