| Middle Of the night noise | 15 Oct 2007 02:09 GMT | 2 |
My cat has a habit of jumping off of our steps in the middle of the night scaring you to the point that you think someone is breaking into the house.

| Two weird things | 14 Oct 2007 23:56 GMT | 3 |
The makeup brush, which had been Odessa's favorite toy when she was sequestered after her hospitalization, is nowhere to be found. Louie and I have made a disaster of the house looking for it. Two days before she left us I dropped it into a box of Louie's undershorts fresh from the ...

| My sweet little nurse kitties | 13 Oct 2007 22:36 GMT | 17 |
I wasn't feeling so good during the weekend, and I spent most of Saturday and Sunday sleeping. Caliban was the sweetest little nurse kitty. He seemed really worried. He would jump onto the bed looking really anxious, walk up to my face, and press his nose to my mouth while

| A sad day to come [TW] | 13 Oct 2007 22:09 GMT | 51 |
Shmogg is not well. The vet said without doing various tests, she couldn't say for sure wether it was diabetes or kidney failure, but by the symptoms (forever drinking, peeing innappropriately, always hungry, loss of weight and energy, howling)

| Faeries Took My Bitties | 13 Oct 2007 14:39 GMT | 2 |
...and left changeling kittehs. My inlaws are visiting for two weeks. Halifax-Kumani was very timid of new people. They might be horrible VETS, and VETS as we know are awful people who hold down little

| another kitty with a problem | 13 Oct 2007 14:37 GMT | 24 |
My friend has two female ferals that she and her roommate rescued quite a few years ago. They are spayed. Then her roommate (aka The Idiot) rescued another kitten(male) from his workplace and brought him home. This Idiot being what he is, he continues to refuse to get the

| Stinky and the Riot Act | 13 Oct 2007 05:43 GMT | 7 |
I got up a little too early to suit Stinky, and went out for my walk. While I was gone, my mom tells me that he reported straight to her and gave quite a speech. Stinky is very much my cat, although he likes my mom, and when I'm home, he

| Ranger the Blanket Master, part 2 | 12 Oct 2007 23:25 GMT | 10 |
When we moved into the house in Newton, I really didn't want to have to haul a heavy, large box spring up a narrow flight of stairs so we've got our mattress directly on the bedroom floor. When we first moved in we recognized that kitties with disturbed routines sometimes act-out by

| Does your vet accept Pet Insurance? | 12 Oct 2007 22:47 GMT | 15 |
One vet I went to when my dog Sampson was still with me had pamphlets about purchasing pet insurance. He was already 13 at that point and I'd just moved. The vet said nope, we don't take pet insurance. Then Persia came along, demanding I let her inside. She was at least 2,

| Oh I forgot OT and all that | 12 Oct 2007 19:47 GMT | 5 |
Was at the doctor's office today (next month they are going to do a full physical. . . ACK) and had three rewritten prescriptions that we had filled at Womack Army Medical Center (yess the place that Wamcee is named after). The rule is that one fills out information on

| [OT - sort of] Excerpt from old Dave Barry | 12 Oct 2007 19:10 GMT | 2 |
Yowie's story about Shmogg sliding on a mat toward the wall and hitting the wall hard with his head reminds me of a funny Dave Barry column I read quite a few years ago, about a d-pet that did approximately the same kind of thing. I didn't want to hijack Yowie's thread, which
