Middle Of the night noise15 Oct 2007 02:09 GMT2
My cat has a habit of jumping off of our steps in the middle of the
night scaring you to the point that you think someone is breaking into
the house.
Two weird things14 Oct 2007 23:56 GMT3
The makeup brush, which had been Odessa's favorite toy when she was
sequestered after her hospitalization, is nowhere to be found. Louie and I
have made a disaster of the house looking for it. Two days before she left us
I dropped it into a box of Louie's undershorts fresh from the ...
Update on my brother #5 (and somewhat OT)14 Oct 2007 01:31 GMT55
I was there for three days and nights.  Came home on Friday.  Persia was
happy to have me back full time :)
Yesterday morning he called, he needs his dressing changed.  I drive 25
miles to his house and our friend of 35 years is sitting there with him
My sweet little nurse kitties13 Oct 2007 22:36 GMT17
I wasn't feeling so good during the weekend, and I spent most of
Saturday and Sunday sleeping. Caliban was the sweetest little nurse
kitty. He seemed really worried. He would jump onto the bed looking
really anxious, walk up to my face, and press his nose to my mouth while
How to get food into the cat? (Update 2)13 Oct 2007 22:10 GMT2
Hello together,
Blacky sais thank you for all the purrs on his behalf.
He is back home since monday, eating a bit more. The infusions given
to him at the animals hospitals seem to have helped a bit.
A sad day to come [TW]13 Oct 2007 22:09 GMT51
Shmogg is not well.
The vet said without doing various tests, she couldn't say for sure wether
it was diabetes or kidney failure, but by the symptoms (forever drinking,
peeing innappropriately, always hungry, loss of weight and energy, howling)

My inlaws are visiting for two weeks.
Halifax-Kumani was very timid of new people.  They might be horrible
VETS, and VETS as we know are awful people who hold down little
another kitty with a problem13 Oct 2007 14:37 GMT24
My friend has two female ferals that she and her roommate rescued
quite a few years ago. They are spayed. Then her roommate (aka The
Idiot) rescued another kitten(male) from his workplace and brought him
home.  This Idiot being what he is, he continues to refuse to get the

I'm not sure if it was me or Yowie that started this, I lit a candle and
when I checked I saw Vicky had lit one too.
Stinky and the Riot Act13 Oct 2007 05:43 GMT7
I got up a little too early to suit Stinky, and went out for my walk.  While
I was gone, my mom tells me that he reported straight to her and gave quite
a speech.
Stinky is very much my cat, although he likes my mom, and when I'm home, he
Ranger the Blanket Master, part 212 Oct 2007 23:25 GMT10
When we moved into the house in Newton, I really didn't want to have to
haul a heavy, large box spring up a narrow flight of stairs so we've got
our mattress directly on the bedroom floor. When we first moved in we
recognized that kitties with disturbed routines sometimes act-out by
Does your vet accept Pet Insurance?12 Oct 2007 22:47 GMT15
One vet I went to when my dog Sampson was still with me had pamphlets about
purchasing pet insurance.  He was already 13 at that point and I'd just
moved.  The vet said nope, we don't take pet insurance.
Then Persia came along, demanding I let her inside.  She was at least 2,
Oh I forgot OT and all that12 Oct 2007 19:47 GMT5
Was at the doctor's office today (next month they are going to do a
full physical. . . ACK) and had three rewritten prescriptions that we
had filled at Womack Army Medical Center (yess the place that Wamcee
is named after).  The rule is that one fills out information on
[OT - sort of] Excerpt from old Dave Barry12 Oct 2007 19:10 GMT2
Yowie's story about Shmogg sliding on a mat toward the wall and
hitting the wall hard with his head reminds me of a funny Dave Barry
column I read quite a few years ago, about a d-pet that did approximately
the same kind of thing. I didn't want to hijack Yowie's thread, which
