We got back from my dad's funeral and found:
The freezer compartment of the fridge open and ice cubes partly melted.
The electric toy cat on the floor.
Buster lying in the trash can.

Our Doll creeps on a bumpy road to recovery. So our vet said in a phone
conference yesterday: when Odessa coughs up her ick, it’s white and not green
or yellow; there’s less tossing of the proverbial cookies and she does want
to eat. But she is tired—I suppose I would be too if I ...

We learned some time ago that Ranger likes blankets. He likes to nap on
them, but he also like to carry them around the house with him. We've got
a bunch of small throws, around 4 feet by 5 feet, in several areas of the

I'm off on adventures with the Army Cadet Force for a week. I have to
attend an advanced instructors course where I learn all about
pyrotechnics and how to use them for exercises with the kids. Or, in
