PING MARY L25 Sep 2007 22:02 GMT13
Hi Mary. I wonder if you could possibly advise me on something please?
I have a friend who works for the Cat Protection League, & we have
just found out that one of the cat's kitten's, that she is fostering,
has no sight. Initially she didn't pick up on it. the only thing that
Teeth/Anesthesia use in older cats ques.25 Sep 2007 19:57 GMT4
Our older cat, Lyric, (15 yrs.) is currently recovering from a
Bartonella infection.  At the time of her physical and diagnosis for
that, the vet also found 2 really bad back molars, that need to be
removed.  My question is, how safe is it for an older cat to be

Very interesting, only a small percentage of calico cats are male!
The Princess is not eating?25 Sep 2007 12:59 GMT12
Rita seems to be off her gooshy food.  Granted, she never was much of
an eater, but now she seems to be eating next to nothing. Every day I
throw out almost a whole can of Fancy Feast.  I even bought the
expensive stuff that she really likes!
Another black cat25 Sep 2007 11:54 GMT4
I just looked out of the window and saw a black cat in the garden, I said
"hello Shadow" then realised straight away it wasn't him and Baggy was
asleep beside me. This cat looks young, probably not much more than a year
old, very nervous so maybe another feral. I couldn't see ...
Odessa in hospital :-(  (long)25 Sep 2007 11:26 GMT40
Yesterday morning we ran our Odessa-Doll to the vet. An all day stay turned
last night into a transfer to an animal ICU an hour's drive from home.
Thurday night we got home from work to find Odessa laying on her side like a
downwd horse, coughing like all hell. We could tell there ...
Vids: inspecting new things25 Sep 2007 09:44 GMT4
I have a couple of new videos, but I had to load them to Dropshots since
they wouldn't load to Photobucket. In the first one, Caliban is checking
out my new bathroom rug (after Miranda had crumpled it up, which I
didn't manage to catch). See his signature one-back-paw ...
Vid: roughhousing with Mir25 Sep 2007 06:58 GMT11
Not really roughhousing, since you need two hands for that, and I was
holding the camera with one. It looks like she really nails me a few
times, but she is so gentle, I never get a scratch from these sessions.

Catching up25 Sep 2007 05:28 GMT5
I've just returned from a business trip and I don't think I'll be able
to catch up. Blanket purrs on the way.

Smokey vs Nox--problem25 Sep 2007 02:25 GMT15
Ever since we moved (two months ago now), Smokey and Nocturne have
been having issues.  I knew it would take time for everyone to get
used to the new location, but this is getting a bit much.  Tyche and
Kumani have completely adjusted to having the whole family in a new

This sweet calico Persian seems to have adopted a bunch of chicks, plus a
couple of  budgies:

Little Bit Update 224 Sep 2007 22:04 GMT7
Things are pretty much back to normal with LB. She certainly doesn't
seem to think anything is wrong (except for the fact that her Paw is
squirting nasty tasting stuff down her throat, but at least that's
only once a day now). She's back to hopping up onto the bed and
I'm back!24 Sep 2007 22:00 GMT2
Got back in town Wednesday night, so purrs to all who need them... no way
can I read all these posts.  I needed a day to decompress so I didn't even
look at my computer yesterday.
I picked up Persia (and Peaches the lovebird, of course!) from being boarded
Jake gets a clean bill of health24 Sep 2007 21:58 GMT5
I made the mistake of thinking a few days ago how glad I was that at least I
didn't have any large vet bills this month.  All the other expenses were
really out of hand.
But night before last, Jake decided to pee in our bed.  Not in the middle
