Hey folks, I can't seem to get any emails through to GaDragonfly and (probably due to her RL) she hasn't been replying to my ping post either. I need to get my new address to her so I can get onto the card list.

Well I'm back and still have all the bits (fingers, toes, noses etc) that I went on my Pyrotechnics course with. :) Many, many purrs for those who need them - especially KFC who is getting extra special purrs from Miss Lily Whiskers and HRFL, and

| Day with Charleen and Suz | 26 Sep 2007 22:33 GMT | 14 |
Charleen visited me and Suz again a couple of days ago. Charleen came over my house first, where she was investigated by Buster. Buster had a puffy tail and slunk away a little when Charleen petted him, exclaiming that he was so soft. But in a couple of minutes, Buster

Here in the UK, we have a children's TV programme, "Blue Peter". Amongst other items, they keep pets - and try to educate children how to look after them. Here's their latest recruit - "Cookie":

| Martha's ESP | 26 Sep 2007 22:23 GMT | 12 |
How do cats do it? What extra-sensory perception do they possess? This morning I prepared the carry-cage in the basement to take Martha to the vets. I carried it silently up to the second floor, passed this office where Martha had been sleeping, and set the cage silently on

Hi gang. I haven't posted in a coon's age, I know. Just been busy on the home front and starting my from-home job again. Hope all posters and four-on-the-floor babies are doing well. I'll have to sift thru the zillion unreads later!

| Meeces problem | 26 Sep 2007 17:59 GMT | 13 |
I am wondering if anyone here has used one of those pest control units I've seen advertised? You plug them in and they work on some frequency frequented by rodent-types to drive them away. I need to know if they would bother my Gracie cat or Sir-Barks-A-Lot...like give

Gracie Caught A Mouse!!! What a GOOD girl! She deposited it on my bed for me to find when I came home from the post office. That's ok by me, and I gave her lots and lots of scritches and tummy rubs!!

| Interesting Article on Whiskers | 26 Sep 2007 16:47 GMT | 13 |
The November Issue of Cat Fancy has an interesting article about whiskers. Maybe you folks knew this stuff but I sure didn't! Apparently (most) domestic cats are farsighted so they use their whiskers to help them sense prey. They pick up on minute air vibrations which tells

| Hello again (trying again - ignore first two) | 26 Sep 2007 06:49 GMT | 14 |
I've been "away" so long, most of you probably don't even remember me! I'm alive and well but can't say the same for my RPCA life. First, the RPCA carrier went totally haywire. It was impossible, insane. Got another computer and different carrier. This one posted some items but

| Ping Tanada - really OT! | 26 Sep 2007 00:12 GMT | 6 |
(and anyone else that might be interested in WWII history) Pam, are you watching Ken Burns' WWII documentary airing on PBS entitled "The War"? You and Rob would enjoy it. Tonight was the second night on Georgia PBS but it looks like we're getting a second viewing

| Signs of Autumn | 25 Sep 2007 22:26 GMT | 15 |
It is starting to get dark earlier and earlier in the evening. Jake and Molly haven't adjusted their internal clocks to the sun, so they are staying out more and more after dark. We have a motion activated light on the back porch, but often the cats won't
