I'm off for three weeks in Australia, and I know I'll never catch up when I
get back.  Purrs to all who will need them while I'm gone.

Bucky's day out30 Sep 2007 01:33 GMT2
Well, Bucky ran out again. He stayed out all day. However, when I went to
feed the ferals, he came walking up.
Before I put the food down, I scooped him up. He immediately started
struggling, with a "hey, I'm HUNGRY" kind of energy.
Odessa's progress29 Sep 2007 22:29 GMT4
She's eating, thank Our Lady! they've made a slurry out of the A/D can food,
and she has been chowing. She's had a bit of time outside the oxygen hutch
too. Most importantly, no report of the food causing problems with breathing;
this is the second night we have not gotten The Call ...
Maybe it's the season29 Sep 2007 22:14 GMT9
I don't know what it is.  It isn't like anything is specifically wrong,
or bad, or worse than normal.  But I just seem to want to curl up in bed
and do nothing half the time.  The other half, I am desperately trying
to get a few more things unpacked and put away, and it seems an ...
Touchstone clowder - test results29 Sep 2007 22:13 GMT2
Just a short update on Sammy and Spotty  and their blood work today.
Everything was well within normal range. Since Sammy has received to
FIV immunization, she wasn't tested for that, but Spotty was and came
back negative. The only problem came when the tech weighed Sammy.
Ding Dong the Witch is Gone! (OT and long)29 Sep 2007 21:54 GMT24
I just found out from a friend who works at the company where I used to work
that the woman who fired me after 11 years received the same treatment.
Now don't get me wrong.  I don't like it when anyone loses their job.  But
this woman pillaged and plundered her way through the 4 ...
Hello, again29 Sep 2007 21:49 GMT3
I've been "away" so long, most of you probably don't even remember me!  I'm alive and well but can't say the same for my RPCA life.  First, the RPCA carrier went totally haywire.  It was impossible, insane.  Got another computer and different carrier.  This one posted some items ...
Odesa still in hospital, and it sucks...29 Sep 2007 21:40 GMT28
Last Saturday morning I updated that Odessa was very much improved. Not ten
minutes after I spoke with the tech at Orchard Park, I got a call from the
vet on call that things were not as rosy as first thought.
Our Odessa-Doll is still in hospital, in a little hutch-like thing where
update on my little grey friend29 Sep 2007 21:36 GMT7
My Muriel has been with me for 16 years (there are some photos on my
website, but she's hard to photograph - looks just like the cat on
the bag of Somerfield Fuller's Earth cat litter, for UK readers -
silver tabby shorthairs are popular with advertising photographers -
Advice on a weak, tiny baby kitten29 Sep 2007 21:32 GMT9
A friend of mine has had a couple of abandoned kittens dumped on her
doorstep, and she is attempting to take care of the poor little things.
Both were skin and bones and had swollen bellies and were infested with
fleas.
The Singing Roadcat29 Sep 2007 21:30 GMT10
Having 6 furry owners, we of course have a lot of cat toys spread all
around the house. Of special interest are the feather wands. We've got a
plastic wand with an orange marabou feather on the end that Sammy has
claimed as his own. We also have a couple of boa feathers attached to
Purr request29 Sep 2007 21:28 GMT15
I'm leaving for Australia in six days.  My next-door neighbors are very good
about feeding, petting and playing with my cats while I'm gone.
However, Lindy is now on thyroid medication twice a day, and I think it's
too much to ask the neighbors to give her the medication.  ...
