Burning Man Tales - Home sweet home07 Sep 2007 01:20 GMT4
Got home from the SF Bay Area yesterday around 5 pm.
I walked up to my apartment and within three steps of the door, I
heard a meow.
Mischief was in the kitchen window and she had immediately recognized
Switching Kittens' Food07 Sep 2007 00:32 GMT35
Even though the last Nutro "alert" was probably not anything to worry about,
still, I didn't feel comfortable continuing to feed Da Boyz their Nutro Max
Kitten Chicken and Liver flavored canned food.  They have always polished
off their own food and then went scrounging the adults' ...
Way off topic.  Auto repair advice?07 Sep 2007 00:22 GMT19
We need to replace the fuel filter on Charlie's 2004 Dodge neon.
Only Charlie has absolutely no idea where to have it done.  (He has a
problem with dealer maintenance)  He tried to buy a fuel filter for it and
learned it is in the fuel tank.
Puurs for the D-Thing06 Sep 2007 22:19 GMT23
Well, it came time for our aging rescue d-thing's yearly.  He's doing better
for a going-deaf, arthritic, near blind, on
steroids-to-keep-him-from-itching dog.  A week or so ago, we noticed a hard
lum on his bum (right were he sits, but only on the right "cheek").  TED
UPDATE 2 - Miss Lily Whiskers....SHE'S HOME!!06 Sep 2007 22:10 GMT18
I had a phone call from the vet this morning at 8.45am... "please can
you come and get your cat, she's fine and very miserable hiding under
her litter tray"...
So, I went and got her. :) Tail is all bandaged up and padded, and she
Lots of Purrs For Everyone and Some For Me?06 Sep 2007 22:09 GMT13
I haven't been posting much lately, not that I post a lot normally, so
I thought I would let everyone know that I'm thinking about them and
sending lots of purrs...
I bought a new computer, a MacBook, and have been busy trying to

UPDATE : Miss Lily Whiskers and more purrs please. :(06 Sep 2007 21:56 GMT29
Well, Miss Lily Whiskers is now minus 2 inches of her tail. :(( I
picked her up at 4.30pm, and brought her home. She came through the
anaesthetic OK, and seemed OK when I got her. I brought her home, and
the first thing she did when she got out of th carrier was smack her
Dulce Mae has made a *partial* connection06 Sep 2007 18:46 GMT6
As you all know. cats are fascinated by the toilet. At least mine are.
They never seem to make the connection about the big container of
water, and its use, though.
Well, we tend to keep one side of the stainless steel sink filled with
I don't spoil my cats  BUT06 Sep 2007 18:44 GMT18
Cinnamon loves to scratch on our flip flops that are on the back porch. I
have to put them up off the floor.
Today on my way home I stopped at the dollar store and bought her a pair of
her own. I put them on the floor next to her scratching post.
Ceridwen RB06 Sep 2007 18:38 GMT33
Ceridwen went to the Bridge at about 5 pm tonight. The vet tried all
day to stabilize her electrolytes, and just could not. She told me
that Dwen's kidney's were probably damaged by a virus, possibly a
while ago, and when she came down with an URI that virus pushed her

Sometimes I hate this time of year!06 Sep 2007 18:31 GMT18
It has been quite a week. Friday night I got a bad feeling about Dawn.
a friend of mine, and couldn't find her phone number or address. So I
did a google search and found her name on a church's prayer list, so I
contacted the minister and asked her to say hi to Dawn. The minister
OMG!06 Sep 2007 18:13 GMT11
Shmoggleberry, the at least 17 year old, cranky, geriatric cat, who sleeps
23.5 hours and then needs a rest, just dropped at my feet:
A still warm, but thankfully dead, little grey mouse!
I didn't think he still had it in him! And he said "mows, mows!" just before
Rhetorical question - NOT!06 Sep 2007 15:12 GMT1
I was just feeding the crew and trying to determine how much water was left
in the bowl in the semi darkness. So I asked Cali how the water was; she
stopped eating her food and started sniffing the water dish, "Seems OK to
me". Hide! The mothership is coming. :-)
