Can an old cat learn new tricks?09 Sep 2007 06:48 GMT3
In the case of my Bandit - although at 10 he's really only just into his
prime - the answer is certainly "yes".
Now apparently fully recovered from his ops., he's rediscovered his
kittenhood. Thanks to the Siamese blood I'm sure is in his bloodline

What was THAT about?08 Sep 2007 21:23 GMT7
This morning I was in the bathroom when Dunzi came in to perform in
the litter tray a little unusual in itself, if we come in when Dunzi's
on the tray she doesn't stop but she usually won't start if she has a
potential audience- perhaps she couldn't wait.
Send Purrs, Prayers Please!08 Sep 2007 21:19 GMT14
OMG. I just got a note from my daughter telling me that her nurse
manager is coming to look at the orphan
bitties this morning.
This is *better* than any potential adoptor I ever dreamed of. She
Princess and the hummingbird08 Sep 2007 15:17 GMT3
My mom has a major amount of hummingbirds, and I don't think I have told you
about her cat princess trying to get one for lunch...
my mom has so many humming birds she starts the year making a gallon of food
a day, they are so plentiful that at the height of bird feeding season she
Duffy's accident (NOT an injury...)08 Sep 2007 11:24 GMT26
Duffy gave me a real fright this evening.  This was one of the few times
when his blindness really "showed."  I was sitting in a lounge chair
watching TV, and I happened to be holding the remove control upright in my
hand.  Suddenly, Duffy leaped toward the arm of the chair (as ...
Prozac for dogs....and cats08 Sep 2007 03:39 GMT5
Sabrina has been peeing all over the house since she had a bladder
infection about
4 months ago.  I've had her urine tested several times and it has been
fine each
Pics: fridge cats08 Sep 2007 02:39 GMT11
Both my cats like to hang out on top of the fridge every now and then.
It's where I store Mir's food dish between her infrequent nibbles (she's
a grazer, and can take several hours to eat her serving of meat, and I
have to store it out of Caliban's reach). Luckily Caliban can't ...
Best vacuum for pet hair on tiles?08 Sep 2007 00:06 GMT7
Help! I'm looking at a Dyson animal... but is it really worth the
money? How well does it work on tiles (we don't have any carpet or
rugs in the apartment because they'd just get messed up!) Didn't some
RPCAn's get one of these?
Not happy with TED!07 Sep 2007 22:13 GMT8
I am not at all happy with TED at the moment.  Lindy is on thyroid
medication.  She just started a couple of months ago, so she still has to
have monthly tests to see if the dosage is right.  I took her in on Thursday
to be tested.  I told the vet that I was almost out of the ...
Kenzie's (mostly good) TED visit. (Long)07 Sep 2007 21:59 GMT17
A year ago, I noticed that the small area in Kenzie's left eye, where a
small patch of the green iris had been slowly turning brown, had
increased significantly.
I wound up taking Kenzie to a vet who specializes in veterinary
Dad Update #307 Sep 2007 21:48 GMT16
Hello, everyone. I am back with an update on my Dad who was diagnosed
with terminal Pancreatic Cancer a few months back. As some of you know
but for those that don't I mention it again. I received a call from my
Stepmother earlier today (Friday a.m. PST) , and apparently my Dad ...
What is it about mousies?07 Sep 2007 21:43 GMT17
Persia goes absolutely nuts over little toy mousies.  She ignores most other
toys (except for her catnipped filled "sock").  But just show her a tiny
mouse toy and she goes berserk.  What is it about these mousies?  (She's
only ever seen one real mouse in her life and it scared ...
Bossy Pants Humming Bird - OT07 Sep 2007 19:41 GMT19
It's that time of year again!  The little humming birds are out, and
thick......this (Houston) is one of their last stops before taking
their long journey across the Gulf of Mexico.  I was sitting out back
the other morning having my early morning cup-a-joe and a humming bird
