| Odessa's Revenge | 11 Sep 2007 15:51 GMT | 4 |
When we took Odessa to the vet last week, she was given a steroid shot and some soft-textured food so a nasty throat inflammation could subside. To this end, we were also given a liquid antibiotic to administer twice daily. The good news is that Odessa slowly walks down the path to ...

| I'm not totally stupid | 11 Sep 2007 14:16 GMT | 3 |
I feed the ferals, and sometimes they get impatient with me. This afternoon, for instance, when I returned from the groceru store. Four ats were waiting on me - Acqui, who is mean, Fluffy who is still mostly nervous of people, Blacky and Spot, who are sweet and lovable.

| FYI - I'm Going Missing in a Couple of Days! | 11 Sep 2007 14:11 GMT | 2 |
No need to panic ;) I'm leaving town on 9/12. I'll be working with John at the Riverssance Fine Arts show in Davenport next weekend. Fourth year in a row I've helped there. It's a very nice show in a lovely park. Last year it rained very lightly in the afternoons and was also ...

We've had an on/off problem with one of the circuit breakers - specifically the one to the hot water heater - it comes loose and, Surprise! No hot water for the shower (or anything else)! DH went to the basement (we rarely go into the basement) to jiggle it back into place, ...

| Can Odessa have a few more purrs? | 10 Sep 2007 22:15 GMT | 18 |
A little over 2 weeks ago, we took Odessa in to have her teeth cleaned, and it turned into a nightmare of emergency extractions the effects of which are still hanging over our Dolly’s bitty head. We had to take her to the emergency vet over the weekend because she had

| Typhoon headed toward Tokyo | 10 Sep 2007 22:09 GMT | 21 |
...the good news is that our school has "late start" (we don't have to be there till 10:30, if at all, depending on whether the typhoon is almost past by then or if it will hit later). The other good news is that all pets are inside and catnip has been liberally sprinkled to

| The wrath of Lucy | 10 Sep 2007 04:49 GMT | 16 |
My dad is still pretty sick. In fact, I don't think he will see the new year. But his cat Lucy is keeping an eye out for him. She has started sleeping next to him, and has made "surprise" attacks on anyone who comes near my dad's bed (with a few exceptions). My
