Mystery Cats - book15 Sep 2007 19:25 GMT2
I have the cat mystery book, and will be happy to mail it to anyone who
wants it - but you need to let me know soon.  I'm getting ready to go on a
trip, and won't have many chances to get to the post office before I go.
Email me with your snail mail address if  you're interested.  ...
Shelter Visit - Report15 Sep 2007 15:01 GMT54
Well, I went.  And I met Sadie.  She is just as pretty in person as I
thought her picture. Though bigger (I don't think she is a size small
anymore, more a medium). Beautiful eye color. And yes, feisty.  Which
reminds me I need to dress my worse wound soon :(  Turns out she had a
Oops! Poor Smudge! (No injury)14 Sep 2007 22:15 GMT5
I'm following in MaryL's footsteps, and making sure you all know that
everyone is fine, but I did commit a tiny blunder this evening.
I came home, and Smudge was, as usual, hanging out by the front steps.
I got out, petted her, and then got some stuff from my trunk. As I

The Move, Part II (mostly OT)14 Sep 2007 14:22 GMT3
The day after my rather boring birthday (well, I guess they always are
more exciting when you're a youngster; how excited can a 52-year-old
get?  It's not like I get lotsa really cool toys or anything -- lol) --
but I digress.  Ahem.  Anyway, the day after was supposed to the The ...
A new shop cat :)13 Sep 2007 22:55 GMT5
The local pet store in the village where I buy the cats Royal Canin
has always had black shop cats. Their current resident is an elderly
resident of about 19 years called Satan. He spends his days asleep on
the horse feed sacks dreaming of catching mice. :)
RE Alex and Dr. Pepperberg (TW)13 Sep 2007 22:17 GMT1
I thought this was so sad, hearing about their last goodnight :(
WALTHAM, Massachusetts (AP) -- Alex, a parrot that could count to six,
identify colors and even express frustration with repetitive scientific
trials, has died after 30 years of helping researchers better understand ...
Blanket Purrs (again)13 Sep 2007 21:39 GMT27
Sorry, folks, I have been seriously distracted by some things going on in my
life.  I've only had a chance to skim and reply to a few posts in the last
week.  So once again I'm offering blanket purrs for all who need them.

What the?  (OT)13 Sep 2007 21:33 GMT6
Well, I was *trying* to read the group and post things, but something
very weird is going on, as though my mouse scroller is on
methamphetamines.  Yikes!  I'll try again later!

Suicidal Kitten!13 Sep 2007 21:07 GMT24
Forget Samson and Goliath - think Samazon and Little Big Man (a kitten that
*must* be suicidal)!  Sammy is such a wuss, that she's the one to mew
"uncle" when Archer beats her up!  LOL!
I tried to keep this video short (15mb) for those with slower connections,
Love Bites13 Sep 2007 18:49 GMT16
Since Sue is talking about her shelter experiences in hopes of adopting a
new forever friend, I thought I'd define once again the concept of a "love
bite".
When Persia is snuggled up next to me on the couch, as she is wont to do,
Mother - a final goodbye13 Sep 2007 15:43 GMT23
I am sending group mail family and friends to let everyone know that my
mother passed away last night, and I am including this NG plus h+b among my
friends. I had been with her until about half an hour before she died. She
was very weak and could barely speak, but I called my ...

I know someone whose cat *may* have this and I was thinking someone here had
successfully treated it?
