It's an amazing story how this lovely little kitty turned a cat hater
into a lover and taught her how to reach people.
Anal Gland Issues (?).....aka "Junk In The Trunk"16 Aug 2007 18:40 GMT2
With 8 resident felines, I suppose we're lucky that none of them
suffer from impacted anal glands.  However, there is Darla.......
Darla is a sh white and black that we've had for 15 years.  She is the
sweetest little thing you could ever imagine, but is completely
Catnipped.....Check It Out16 Aug 2007 16:35 GMT6
You know, I'm just an ol' hippy at heart, so I totally love doing the
marcame thing.  We're still unpacking, but one of the first things I
set up was a macrame table hanger with a piece of round glass set in
it.  Naturally I put it outside, right next to my front door.  On the

I've never seen or heard of it. My gosh, it is quite astonishing that
the lion actually recognizes them and seems SOOOOOOOO happy! I don't
think it's a fake video. It doesn't look it. Pretty amazing.
Prodigal Bucky and other tales16 Aug 2007 07:13 GMT4
Last week, Bucky "snaked" his way out through the barely opened door.
Darn cat!
Well, Bucky stayed out for three days, while we worried about him and
called for him. Several times Senyah mentioned that she thought she

We had one of our cats, Ricochet (Ricki) into the vet on saturday
morning for a check up since she's going on 18 years of age now.
Yes, I said 18.
I just got a call back from the vet with her test results and he was
Update: Cara15 Aug 2007 22:20 GMT13
Thanks for all the purrs folks, they seem to be working. We had to
return to the vet at 1am this morning because Cara had got worse again
during the night with laboured breathing and being unable to stand up.
The vet said that it was because the pain relief had worn off and she

I heard you wanted to see me in the movies.  I hardly ever make personal
appearances, but just this once, for you, I'll make an exception - but not
for long!!!

invasion of the flies (GW)15 Aug 2007 21:23 GMT25
Okay gross warning here.
Ok, I'm not too picky about insects in general.  They are part of hte
earth, the food chain, etc.
But I have a strict rule.  You, the insect, come into my home, you are

What are you (and/or your cat(s)) reading this summer?
Are you watching any really good videos as well?

Repressed Dot15 Aug 2007 20:50 GMT19
I'm really worried about Dot.  For weeks, she's kept to herself in the
kitchen, on top of her chair, or hiding beneath it.  This isn't her
normal, happy, demanding, and unsuppressed self.  I know that Dot
loves to play, loves to sleep with her hoomins, loves to explore,
Report Please? B&C&FSP?15 Aug 2007 19:29 GMT2
Does anyone know how Bonnie & Clyde and FSP are doing these days?
I've been wondering about them recently - perhaps I've missed
something?

Talked with kilikini (Christy) yesterday on the phone.  Her tumor is back.
She's waiting for a referral to be approved for a cancer center in Tampa.
Much better than the 5 hour drive and many nights stay at the Mayo ...
RB Anniversary15 Aug 2007 19:04 GMT10
Eight years ago, today, our beloved Quetzie left us for the RB. When I
realized what day it was today, my eyes filled with tears, remembering
my baby boy. He was such a GOOD cat. A sweet, sweet soul, inhabiting a
beautiful body.
