Health and money purrs needed21 Aug 2007 18:57 GMT118
I had scheduled a visit with my doctor because the pain from when I broke my
arm has just continued to worsen over the last year.  I've been to several
orthopedists and all they do is take an x-ray and shoot cortisone shots into
my funny bone tendon - yet the pain continues to ...
Harri the (almost) Master Climber21 Aug 2007 14:22 GMT4
Yesterday I was doing a little work in the back yard (not too much, as it
was hot and humid), and the kitties were all having a wonderful time. It
seems that freshly pulled weeds are absolutely infested with greeblings
and require a great deal of pouncing before they are safe. Harri ...
Growling kitten21 Aug 2007 14:12 GMT19
Sometimes when people post links to videos here, I don't have time to
watch them, so I save them for later. But then I sometimes forget to
watch them, and they just stay in my video links file for months.
This one is just such a case - months ago, Magic posted a link to a
Fun on a Saturday (way OT and a bit of GW)21 Aug 2007 03:18 GMT23
Well, I just got back from the ER where they glued a wound on my hand.
I slipped while slicing onions on a mandolin slicer (it took me a while
to figure out what the nurse meant when she said "one of those
accordian things?" ) It wasn't *bad* but I couldn't fix it and it

I have posted a video clip on YouTube of a five-month-old cougar (mountain
lion) cub playing at the Nashville, Tennessee, USA zoo.

Sammy up the tree!20 Aug 2007 21:51 GMT17
Well, I couldn't get her slooooooow climb up the tree, obviously she feels
more confident in the stability of the tree now - enough to make a small
jump to get herself started anyway (plus, to get her on video, I had to
entice her with Fancy Feast Gourmet Gold dry food which we ...

Got this one from a friend. All I can say is, whoever wrote this
must not have actually ever slept in the same bed with a cat. :)

Cute cat contest20 Aug 2007 16:25 GMT6
One of our local tv stations has been running a Cutest Cat contest,
and have asked the viewers to send in their photos and enter. They
have narrowed it down to 9 photos, and want people to choose the
cutest one. Here is a link to the page:

Odessa purrs please!19 Aug 2007 22:14 GMT7
We just took our Odessa-doll to get ehr teeth cleaned this morning, and
Mama's frantic; I worry myself sick over the babies when they have to go. She
does have some nasty gingivitis, which Louie and I have been trying to treat
with the Rinse of Evil and brushing. Of course, catching ...
I'm in love with my boss!!!!!19 Aug 2007 22:10 GMT17
My manic consultant went on holiday for 2 weeks, of course, the two weeks are
supposed to end next Monday but he's at his desk this morning! (The man
cannot sit still for 2 nanoseconds) and he tells me he got me a present while
he was away.
Tigger teeth cleaning purrs please19 Aug 2007 22:10 GMT11
I dropped Tigger off at the vet this morning for a teeth cleaning.  I know
it's a fairly routine procedure but as I told the vet, she is getting up in
years and is very, very special to us.  Some purrs for the routine procedure
to be completely routine would be appreciated.
Sad News19 Aug 2007 22:02 GMT23
I just got word that my son's nextdoor neighbor passed away. He was
two months' shy of 106 years old. The sad part is, he didn't die of
old age. He was fishing with another elderly man, fell in the water,
and the man was unable to pull him out.
Extremely funny thread19 Aug 2007 22:00 GMT4
I hang out on a UK teaching website, where we discuss everything
including cats. There is an extremely funny "Rules for Cats" thread
that you may well appreciate......
