OMG!  They've Discovered Verticality!!!06 Aug 2007 02:08 GMT14
Up until now their depredations have been confined to ground level.
However, Ozzy and Archer have discovered that their world has verticality
(especially when they can find something within their jumping range that
leads to something higher).  No object is safe on a shelf, no ...
Arrrggghhh!05 Aug 2007 23:25 GMT19
Kitty love is expensive.  And sometimes inconvenient.
Lindy was diagnosed with a thyroid problem and was put on medication to be
given twice a day.  Yesterday I took her in for blood tests to see of the
dosage was correct.  She was also due for her leukemia vaccination.  The
Purrs for a friend's kitties, please05 Aug 2007 22:25 GMT19
I rarely ask for purrs, but I would like to ask for some for my friend Jan's
two kitties. This is what she wrote:
<< My Fergie and Chessie need all the prayers that cat lovers can muster.
Fergie was just diagnosed with some type of liver growths (more testing to
Perfect Petzzzz05 Aug 2007 22:22 GMT7
Hey, quick question about these lifelike pets
I have a friend who is quite ill.  He's in Kidney failure and after so
many complications from Hemadialysis, recently went on Perionteal
Dialysis.  He's been sullen and moody.  And I was thinking of getting
Clara is home.... :)05 Aug 2007 22:19 GMT8
Well, I picked up Clara from the shelter yesterday. :) I got there
about 9.30am and it took 2 hours to process her by the time we'd gone
through all the paperwork, had a discussion with the behaviourist,
spoken with the Dogs Trust vet etc.
Dog Shoots Owner05 Aug 2007 22:14 GMT17
I can't find the link to the news story but I heard it early this morning.
About 2AM there was a shooting in a suburb of Memphis.  The pepetrator was a
2 year old 150-pound Great Dane named King George.
The 21 year old owner of the dog lives in a house with his fiance and her
Purrs for Biscuit05 Aug 2007 22:09 GMT19
My friend's cat Biscuit has occasional bouts of vomiting, and she's
having one today. It seems to happen once or twice a year, and usually
in the summer, which makes me think it might be allergy-related. But
she's had tests and nobody's found anything specific that causes it.
thanks for the idea...05 Aug 2007 14:35 GMT5
...of the ping-pong ball as a cat toy.
Happened to be in a store that sells all kinds of stuff fairly cheaply,
and they also had ping-pong balls. Bought a package and gave one to
Nico. Now Nico's chasing the ball all around the apartment... :D
White Wall to Wall Carpeting and 8 Cats05 Aug 2007 13:59 GMT57
I know.......WTF was I thinking?????  Anyway, to all of you out there
with multi cat households, spend the $250.00 for a Hoover Steam
Vac Deluxe  It's worth every penny.

Feline scrapbook pages05 Aug 2007 00:00 GMT6
I just finished a huge scrapbooking challenge that took three weeks to
do, and quite a few of the pages I did were for my Cat album... I
won't bore you with all the non-feline pages (of course you're quite
welcome to look at them if you want to!), but here are the links to
The early cats get the treats...04 Aug 2007 19:19 GMT11
Hi all, good to see such an online presence for kitties! I started up
a website called cat utah for cats with behavior problems. Our cat
Moki was pretty bad when we got him, now he's a pretty cool cat... (in
our header graphic on the site, Moki is the second <a href="http://
Cat Vocabulary04 Aug 2007 17:33 GMT22
Cat speak is always unique to each cat.  Our short hair, Gidget, who
is ALL gray except for her green eyes, short black whiskers and pink
tongue has the most wonderful meow I've ever heard.  It starts off
with an M, followed with an N, and ends with a hard G.
Where is everyone?04 Aug 2007 01:15 GMT45
It's been so quiet this afternoon. What, do you all have jobs or
something? :)

Anyone here near Sacramento, California?03 Aug 2007 22:15 GMT1
Can anyone recommend a cat-rescue group in the Sacramento, California
area?
I know someone in Sacramento who has had a cat meowing outside her
house over the last 24 hours. She can't take the cat in herself, but
Pandora (RB)03 Aug 2007 21:54 GMT16
I'm posting a tribute to one of my parakeets, Pandora.
A boy parakeet with a girl's name, but a lovely budgie none the less.
I got him back in 1999 to be a playmate for Patches (RB) another
parakeet.  With the two of them it was like being a mom, because i
