The neighbors that live across the cul-de-sac from us have two teen age kids. The parents are going through a divorce, so 'mom' lets each kid bring home a kitten. Kiko is about 6 months old, and really starting to show his manhood. Jinx is a gorgeous little black sh who

| Pop goes the kitten! | 07 Aug 2007 18:04 GMT | 2 |
When I head downstairs to bed each night, Ozzy and Archer follow me down - they know it's play time with the big cat (and also time to finish up any supper Sammy may have left in her dishes). Sammy has finally started trying to catch the krazy kittens instead of just

I just got a call from a friend this morning, saying that his 10-year- old cat has been diagnosed with fairly advanced CRF, and that he might have to be put down. :( Reynolds has been in the vet hospital since Friday, being given IV fluids and nutrients. He has lost a lot of weight

| Determined kitties | 07 Aug 2007 14:15 GMT | 5 |
The kitties have done very well at getting settled into the house in Newton. They've all chosen which windows belong to which kitties, who gets access to which floor grates for cool or warm air, and where everybody likes to nap. Amelia has decided that her favorite place to nap is ...

| Dot's anxiety | 07 Aug 2007 06:28 GMT | 24 |
I haven't yet been able to fully integrate Buster and Dot, so this would be the 8th week of separation for these two. I mostly keep them together now, and they're fine even unsupervised (I set up a wireless motion detecting webcam to see how they are when I'm not around, and

Last weekend Peter and I were at a flea market and wanted to go to a new store 2 towns away after we left there. We were looking at a map and a guy parked next to us came over and asked if we needed directions. He proceeded to tell us how to find the store.

| Sponsor Mom to two kittens | 06 Aug 2007 21:54 GMT | 5 |
My neighbor gave my name to a friend of hers who was helping with two kittens. When she called, she told me that *her* neighbor had rescued two beautiful little kittens from the road. The mother had been killed, and she was caring for the kittens until they were "old enough" to ...

| Snug as a Bug in a Rug | 06 Aug 2007 20:54 GMT | 6 |
Got a new bathroom mat/rug in the aftermath of the great flood. Persia has been hanging out on it, rolling around on it, marking it as hers. She was none too thrilled when I stepped out of the shower, dripping wet, and shed water all over her (well, she should have moved faster!) ...

| Cat Toys? | 06 Aug 2007 16:46 GMT | 38 |
Persia is getting older (8-10, don't really know). I'm trying to get her to play more. She's become very sedentary but she needs the exercise *and* the mental stimulation. She still occasionally plays with the BIG crinkly mylar balls (all the small ones have vanished into the ...
