More on couragous kitties10 Aug 2007 16:08 GMT33
After reading Catnipped's post I thought it was an appropriate time to
introduce a nameless black kitty waiting to come to her new home.
Time has passed since my Punkers left us, and I have missed the
companionship and silliness and comfort of having a cat around.
New series on ABC10 Aug 2007 07:35 GMT1
Starting Monday, August 13, ABC will be airing their new animated
series called "Slacker Cats."  Of course I haven't seen the
series yet, and discovered this web site by accident while
playing around with my book marks.
Ranger the Weather Wimp10 Aug 2007 04:10 GMT2
Harri has decided that Ranger's new nickname is The Weather Wimp.
Here in the midwest the temperatures have been high lately - 80's to low
90's F (27 to mid 30's C) with high humidity. We've also been seeing a
thunderstorm every day for the last week. That coupled with the fact that

Over-Ambitious Kitty09 Aug 2007 20:03 GMT6
As I was sitting here, Rhia started her teeth-chattering attack sound.
Usually this is when she can see a bird outside on the telephone or
power wires that she feels she ought to attack; since both my girls are
indoor cats the birds are quite safe. This time I couldn't see anything
Orinj Bitty! KFW09 Aug 2007 13:23 GMT14
I've been a victim-er, VOLUNTEER counselor for an animal-oriented
educational day camp run by our local Humane Association.  Last week we had
a total of 16 (only three of them boys) 7-9 year olds (eep - WHAT WAS I
THINKING), this week, 10-14 year olds (no boys in this group!).   ...

UK multiway power adapters vs. kittens08 Aug 2007 23:44 GMT10
[note: strange crossposting but there is a reason for it]
As understand it, recent changes in UK wiring regulations discourage
or even prohibit the use of multiway adapters that fit into a socket.
You're supposed to use a multi-socket trailing adapter instead.
Favoured request for re-entry08 Aug 2007 22:50 GMT7
When Kitty FC used to go outside many moons ago, if the back door was shut
she used to fling herself at it to make a huge bang so I knew she was there
and wanted to come back in.  She cannot meow, never has done.  She opens her
mouth but only the tiniest little sound comes out.  ...
Everything is back to normal in Chez Miles... :o)08 Aug 2007 22:26 GMT6
Everything is back to normal in chez Miles. :o)
The cat flap is open for business, the cats are happy with the dog in
the kitchen.  HRFL Tiger, Miss Lily Whiskers and Robbie all sniff Cara
nose to nose as they come in through the catflap and Cara gives them a
Toilet Tragedy (or, Friday was Maintenance Man Day) OT08 Aug 2007 22:15 GMT28
Late Thursday night the toilet in the master bathroom overflowed.  So I got
out my trusty plunger and plunged, plunged, plunged.  Tried to flush it
again, nope... let's just overflow some more, shall we?  There's not enough
water on the floor yet!  I stopped it, but not quite soon ...

Britain's vast population of lethargic and over-fed cats is facing
a diabetes epidemic as soaring rates of feline obesity take their
toll on the animals' health, veterinarians warned yesterday.
GAAK!!!08 Aug 2007 21:40 GMT13
It's only about 97 degrees outside with a humidity factor of 90%.
Every gal wants to do housework in that kind of weather right?  NOT.
So, I'm walking through the house on my way to the computer room and
apparently stepped on something.  By about the 4th step I realized I
Toxic Pet Food Revisited08 Aug 2007 18:22 GMT8
We haven't heard much lately about the contaminated cat food fiasco. I
was wonder if anyone here either has, or
knows someone whose cats became ill, and how the various pet food
companies responded.
Carmen has been adopted08 Aug 2007 04:37 GMT3
Carmen (one of the two "sponsored kittens") has already been adopted!
Chelsea is being "totally pampered" and should be adopted soon.
