| Felix - the one who could open doors. (RIP) | 26 Jul 2007 16:01 GMT | 38 |
This afternoon I called the vet to be so friendly and come to my house to give peace to my loved Felix, the ginger cat. He got about 11 years old from which he lived about 7 with me and my other cats. He moved in from the neighbourhood.

| A sad conclusion | 26 Jul 2007 04:45 GMT | 66 |
I think Pearl is really having trouble seeing anymore. The last time we went to the vet, the vet asked if she could see at all. Apparently she has pretty bad cataracts. Well, she can see to jump and she can see Sugar run and chase her. She plays chase the laser dot sometimes. But ...

| the kitten in the boot | 26 Jul 2007 04:29 GMT | 2 |
[warning: crossposted] I haven't read Elizabeth Gaskell's "Cranford" yet, but came across an illustrated edition of it last week that had a frontispiece of a cat being put into a boot. On looking up an e-text of it, I find that the

| Speaking of introductions... | 26 Jul 2007 01:21 GMT | 6 |
Has anyone ever had success in trying to mend a bad introduction, that has caused friction for a number of years, between two cats? I'm talking about Smudge and Licky, of course. I didn't put much effort into introducing them because I wasn't

| Feliway | 25 Jul 2007 23:51 GMT | 6 |
I have an unused spray container of Feliway I'd be glad to mail to anyone who can use it(no cost to you, of course) - I bought the plug-in Feliway plus the spray. Am keeping the plug-in in case I want to try it again someday in the distant (hopefully) future. Didn't really see ...

| Now *THAT* was unexpected! | 25 Jul 2007 21:08 GMT | 7 |
Tayla, who's a little love bug (and maybe should have been an "only" cat) was cuddling with me on the sofa in the great room, then moved to the end table to lay down. Jessie was walking past coming from the living room and heading downstairs when Tayla jumped up, started yowling, ...

| Earthquake this morning! | 25 Jul 2007 20:58 GMT | 45 |
There was a small earthquake in my neck of the woods early this morning. However, I felt it very intensely because it was only one kilometer from my house. Here's what I wrote to Winnie, who just emailed me to ask about it:

| Apologies to group, especially Pat | 25 Jul 2007 20:50 GMT | 131 |
Sorry folks, its been along day and I just sort of got snarky. I cancelled the message that I sent, but it probably got through to some news providers anyway. Just wanted to say sorry for being bitchy, particular to Pat. I hope the

| Spider chases laser pointer (don't look Tweed :)) | 25 Jul 2007 20:47 GMT | 27 |
This was a link on the same page as the cat-training video. It's kind of amazing - I had no idea a spider would do this. It's only 32 seconds long: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vja83KLQXZs
