My father gave me a new camera for my birthday. My other camera is
somewhat complex and while great for shooting birds and wildlife, etc
it doesn't fall into the category of point n shoot.  So now I have a
point n shoot camera and of course I had to practice with the cats.

2 friends of mine, Gus and Ryan, own and run a charter boat company in

As I've mentioned before, Rufous has an oral fetish. He loves to chew
and lick on things. Particulary my fingers. :)
He's very gentle with the chewing and has never even come close to
breaking skin, but he does love it. Anyhow, I often pick him up and hold

We don't have electricity on the island, so we use gas for stoves and
fridges. The gas comes in big metal containers or bottles, about half a
metre (nearly two feet) tall. One of these containers was standing by
the path to my uncle's cabin.

I stopped by the hospital after work tonight, and my dad is doing MUCH
better. He is still weak, but he is awake, lucid, has his sense of
humor back and is resting well. They will probably keep him until the
middle of next week (August 1st or so, just to be sure he's okay).
