Kitten rescued after four days trapped in car's underbelly

Back yard stand-off31 Jul 2007 21:51 GMT34
At about 3:30 AM, I came back from feeding the baby to see Chester
sitting on the dresser looking out the window.  I went over to see him
*just* when the backyard motion light went on to reveal a stand-off.
On one side of my big wine-barrel planter was a skunk and the other was
Miles Felines & Clara Update31 Jul 2007 21:49 GMT5
Well, the Dogs Trust inspector came and did a home check this
afternoon. :o) We passed! So, the next course of action is to go and
see her on Sunday, and then collect her next wednesday after her final
vet check. :o)
Island photo commentary - very long31 Jul 2007 21:48 GMT10
My brother gave us a lift to the island this year. As usual, Caliban
complained all thew way, while Miranda curled up in her carrier and just
gave me resigned looks every time I peeped into her carrier. Though
Caliban obviously hated being in the car, he also became very ...
More Purrs Needed for Sammy31 Jul 2007 21:25 GMT10
Sammy's diarrhea is worse today - I watched her using the litterbox and it's
liquid.  Her butt is sore (just like a human with diarrhea) and her licking
it is making it more sore.  I talked with the vet and she said for today to
use Vaseline on her but just like you would a baby ...

I added the ones that were taken last summer of Annie, Cinders,
KFW: Foster kittens31 Jul 2007 05:42 GMT17
Real life has meant that I can't participate in the group as much as I
would like or have done in the past, but purrs and good wishes are
always sent to all, and stories and photos are always read and enjoyed.
I've recently been able to start fostering again for my local Cats

I was making the bed, and Bucky, having been an outdoor cat kost of his
life, didn't know what to expect.
He sat on the chair by the bed, and watched as I flapped the sheet unto
position. Then he patted at the corner of the sheet nearest him.
Does Anyone Else Here Read The dailykos?30 Jul 2007 21:10 GMT4
It's a wonderful bunch of people from coast to coast (in fact we had a
get together with about 14 in attendance last weekend in Austin, TX).
They do like their politics, but everyone who posts there loves cats.
There are always wonderful cat pictures posted every day, and lot's of
Update - 7/24 - My dad30 Jul 2007 20:59 GMT16
My dad seems better today. He was lucid and recognized everyone, was
talking like his old self.
Doctor says that the massive infection is reacting to treatment, kidney
function is slowly returning and he is regaining movement in his legs. He
Bandit (UK) - results of visit to specialist30 Jul 2007 20:42 GMT14
Assessment of his eye infection is potentially good news insofar as it's
operable (various tear ducts & lachrymal passages need surgical intervention
and his lower eyelids need trimming) and with a good chance for total
success. So I could get a fully healthy boy back again soon  ...
Ping Victor30 Jul 2007 20:21 GMT4
When are you guys planning on driving down to Houston next?  We would
love to see you again.  Let us know, and I'll wrangle Lori and Ben
over here to join us.  I'll whip up some grub and stitch up some
cat-nip mousies.  Bring pootie pics and beer.  <g>
Fear of cats (and childhood memories)30 Jul 2007 19:30 GMT27
I received an e-mail message from a friend.  This was her description of one
of her houseguests:  "I had some houseguests.  The husband was terrified of
cats.  He was sitting in the TV room watching TV.  He called my name out…I
went in to see what he wanted.  One of my cats was ...
Da Boyz - Short Snippet Video30 Jul 2007 14:01 GMT4
This is from the much longer video I'm uploading of the boys playing.  I
wanted this one to be separate so that 1) those who are on slower
connections could still get a glimpse of them and 2) this one clip kind of
epitomizes their play and 3) it's hilarious to me - wait for the ...
