Pam update June 626 Jun 2007 13:41 GMT14
I just got a call from Pam.  She wants everyone to know she was
released from the hospital today and is at home.  She said she likes
the green grape walls the kids painted and she has her new bed.
She said that Tanada hissed at Wamcee (the pretend cat that Julie
New + Foster Kitties26 Jun 2007 13:22 GMT5
I'm new. Quick rundown: I'm 20, my husband is 21. We rent a three
bedroom house (w/ awesome landlords who are supportive of our
fostering endeavors) in Southern California. My sister-in-law and 8 yr
old nephew are moving in with us in a few weeks. We are proudly owned
Disintegration of a bun-bun26 Jun 2007 13:16 GMT5
For Xmas 2005, my niece gave us a little catnip bunny that she had made
herself. Caliban loves that bunny to pieces - literally:

Quotes about cats26 Jun 2007 12:59 GMT13
Someone on my translators' e-mail list posted a web site with quotes,
and of course I had to check out the cat quotes. Some I've seen before,
others I haven't:

Bandit RB26 Jun 2007 12:26 GMT68
Bandit Crews - April 8, 1990 to June 4, 2007
My beloved friend is gone.  Dr. French came to our home so that Bandit
wouldn't know fear as her last experience on earth.
She had an easy passage to the bridge, she was so weak that I think the

Buster's questionable diet26 Jun 2007 07:07 GMT12
As you all know, Buster is an energetic kitty who loves to play and
pounce.  He and Dot are still at the stage where she hisses at him
through the screen, and he launches himself at her.  He's very
acrobatic. :)

The Bird (and Squirrel) Watching Marathon26 Jun 2007 04:16 GMT2
I have posted some pics of the cats on the enclosed back porch (the tiled
room, to Weeble) watching the birds and squirrels at the feeders.  There is
a feeder attached to the outside of the picture window via suction cups, and
another on a shepherd's hook in the yard.  The feeder ...
Vet Results26 Jun 2007 04:15 GMT2
This is going to be a quick update since I just got home from work, then the
vet's, and just finished dosing/scooping/feeding - it's 8PM and I haven't
eaten since lunch (oh the joys of new slave-hood).
Just as I thought, Tayla, Ozzy, and Archer all have URIs.  Tayla's fecal was
Dot's day of adventure26 Jun 2007 03:22 GMT7
Dot usually likes to be in the middle of any hoomin activity around
the house.  When I come out of the shower, she always comes to me with
a distressed "ack ack ack squeeeek".  Today, she also got to supervise
the assembly of a treadmill, which she liked, and got to have TED

Baby Eyes is OK again26 Jun 2007 01:37 GMT4
Her skin cleared up 95% in two days' time after the Purina food ran out. The
discount grocery has the organic cat food back in stock, and it's on sale: 7
lbs. for $3.75. So it appears that even a few days on any catfood with corn
in it makes Baby Eyes ill. The trick is going to ...
Trying hard not to laugh at another slave....(and ping catnipped)26 Jun 2007 00:39 GMT4
I was watching "Animal Cops Houston" on TV this morning, about the
Houston SPCA. There was one particular story about a pair of abandoned
cats who the Animal Officer had to trap at the home where they had
been left. A young ginger boy cat led her a merry dance, avoided the
Such a good friend26 Jun 2007 00:14 GMT4
Last week, I had to stay up until 1 AM doing some things for my Board of
Directors and Otis kept me good company until I went to bed.  He tried to
rest on the keyboard, my hands, and my lap, before settling in just by my
feet.  When I finished, he trotted upstairs with me and we ...
