Pics of the Orphan Babies28 Jun 2007 09:04 GMT26
These babies are definitely not photogenic. ;-) They look like little
aliens no matter what I do with a camera.
They are 16 days old now!  I'm pretty encouraged about their chances
of survival, much more so than I was a few days ago. Thanks to
Smokey, Enemy of the Republic28 Jun 2007 01:27 GMT2
Last month I got "Star Wars: Republic Commando" for the PC, the game
which inspired Karen Traviss' excellent series of novels (highly
recommended for anyone who likes military sci-fi, no matter if you
consider yourself a "Star Wars" fan or not.)  Anyway, in the game you
Hairballs27 Jun 2007 23:37 GMT11
We just don't get them, normally.
However, there was a strange thing on the doormat when I got home from work.
It looked like a poo, with a tail on it.  Panic..foxes have poo with tails
on, is there is a fox coming right up to my house to get my chickens? Prolly
Ping Tak27 Jun 2007 22:08 GMT10
Tak, for the screen door you're using to keep Buster in the room - did you
buy it or construct it?  If you bought it could you mind telling me where
and about how much (as you know we'll be in need of one soon).
Thanks!
What was the brand of Pam's purring cat toy?27 Jun 2007 21:30 GMT9
Hi all, I was trying to find the name/company that makes the lifelike
cat toy somebody gave Pam while she was in hospital. Online
information would be helpful.  I'm thinking my elderly mother would
enjoy one.

It will make the sweetest b'day gift for a kitty-lovin, fiddle-playin
girlfriend of mine!
Visiting the shelter27 Jun 2007 21:24 GMT67
I had a sudden urge to visit the local shelter today!  This is the
same shelter where I adopted Betty.  I took a lot of pictures and some
videos, but right now I have to run to meet someone for dinner and a
movie, so here are just a few:
Update on Cantate's bitty!27 Jun 2007 21:03 GMT6
Just thought I'd catch you up on our newest addition.
Paulette has been living outside, guarded by Uncle Romeo (at his
previous place he had a wife and several litters and seems to be one
of those guys who goes all gushy over the little ones.)
Purrs, please for ill FIL27 Jun 2007 20:19 GMT21
I posted a couple months ago about my father-in-law having a minor stroke.
Nancy and I have been visiting as often as we can. Up until our last visit
(this last weekend), Clancy has been making excellent progress. However,
last week he developed pneumonia and it has really been ...
Smokey was OUT! - briefly27 Jun 2007 20:12 GMT5
We're having some renovations done, including a new door between the garage
and house. The contactors seem to have trouble with the concept of closing
the door, so we've been locking the girls up when they're around. But today
Smokey got into the OUT. We're not sure Smokey has ...
modes tutorial non-update, and f.ck you Demon27 Jun 2007 18:57 GMT2
I tried to upload a new version of my modes tutorial yesterday.
Don't bother looking for it.
Don't bother looking for the old one either.  All there is on the
site is a truncated bit of it.
I'm a cat abuser27 Jun 2007 16:35 GMT20
Thursday, I was in the kitchen. I was not watching where everyone else
had their feet, much less where my own feet were. I did a quick turn
around, put my foot down, and heard the most horrific sound of a hurt
cat.
I know I said..27 Jun 2007 12:08 GMT45
That I wouldn't ever have a cat in my bedroom overnight.  It's one of my
*rules.*
But when I went up to bed last night. Kitty was on my bed, fast asleep in
dreamland.  I didn't have the heart to disturb "her elderliness" so I crept
Spilly Billy27 Jun 2007 08:10 GMT4
Yesterday I had a gallon jug of water, with the cap on it, sitting on the
living room floor waiting to be taken outto the porch to water the Norfolk
Island Pine now living out there and recovering remarkably well) and I
stepped out of the room for a few minutes... and returned ...
