You know it's hot when...15 Jun 2007 22:14 GMT19
You get to eat a ham salad without being watched avidly because the
cats are too crashed out to move from the bathroom....

We finally got in touch with Jeff's parents last night and learned that, on
top of all things else, Jeff had had a heart attack; that was the collapse in
the restaurant. I assumes that is part of the reason they're pumping in
heparin alkong with the antibiotics and sedatives (Brandy ...

I think one of those is a peach-faced, no?  Very pretty, sweet-looking
birds-- I suddenly want one or two!
Nick Update: I'M STILL FOSTERING!!!15 Jun 2007 20:31 GMT13
Yes it is a joy having a bitty around.
My arms have brand new scratches every few days.  I get my head
pounced on every morning.  And I wake up in the middle of the night to
a bitty suckling on parts of me like i'm his mommy.
Wake up call.....BITTY STYLE!!!!15 Jun 2007 19:20 GMT11
Anyone here been woken up by a bitty?
Then you'll know it usually involves the bitty being in TOTAL zoomie
mode, BOUNCING here and there across the bed.
And landing RIGHT on your head.
Weird coincidence15 Jun 2007 07:13 GMT5
I was, for who knows what reason, researching some Internet history and
related things, trying to figure out when things first happened, etc.
(fax machines, too).  I was using some of this early equipment in 1982.
Then I got curious about the Xerox 850 machine I used to work on.  ...
Ping Lesley: Caliban's diet15 Jun 2007 04:02 GMT17
You said something about Caliban not looking too fat in a picture I
posted. Well, feast your eyes on these:

Chin Acne Q.15 Jun 2007 02:58 GMT47
I remember someone here talking about chin acne. (Was it Vino?)
Anyway, can someone tell me what it looks liike? Bosley has something
weird on his chin. It looked
like dirt stuck in the fur, but after trying to get it off, it's more
Ridiculous WalMart Commercial (OT)14 Jun 2007 19:53 GMT10
(I posted this to rfc but thought I'd share here, too.)
I saw the most ridiculous WalMart commercial last night.  It opens with two
Chinese guys standing in front of an assembly line producing some sort of
small electronic gadget, talking away (in Chinese).  The gadgets go along
To Each his Own; Or A Tale of Two Boxes ;)14 Jun 2007 14:53 GMT10
I've had two boxes lying around for the cats for about a week.  Both
are nicely furnished with crumpled tissue paper.   This is a special
treat because I can usually only tolerate one box at a time lying
around, so the cats have to take turns-- which they usually end up

Fan fan14 Jun 2007 00:07 GMT18
Frank and Nikki used to hate my table fan. They didn't like wind in
general - on the island they would stay inside as much as possible on a
windy day. They never could understand why Meowmie would want it to be
windy inside.
anyone have experience giving their cat Milbemax?13 Jun 2007 22:48 GMT2
I recently moved to Spain, to a heartworm-risk area. My 6 year-old cat
Kotyo is an indoor-only cat, and we do have mosquito screens on all our
windows, but still mosquitoes seem to get in from time to time. So I
need to get some heartworm protection for him.

Re-Naming13 Jun 2007 19:23 GMT5
When I got my RB first cat, my friend and I had to chase two kittens
around her ex-boyfriends house. When we caught one, we were exhausted
and went home. I had everything prepared for the kitten and I was also
prepared, after the ordeal of capture, for the kitten to run and hide.
